I’m in Shenzhen often but not long enough to get to explore properly… this visit I had more time, so I booked a tour with Albert. He did an amazing job! You can pretty much tailor the day to whatever you want… or he can pick some things for you. I’m so happy I did it. I learned much about the city and found tons more things to do (and eat) ok upcoming visits. Clean and safe car. Safe driver. Highly recommend Albert and this tour. I booked Albert and his company’s Shenzhen tour service again, and once again it was a great experience. Albert’s English is very good, especially considering that he grew up locally in China, and communication was smooth and easy throughout the tour. This time, he took me to experience a self-driving robotaxi and introduced me to authentic local food, which was fantastic. Most importantly, Albert brought me to the best possible spot to watch the Shenzhen light show. The light show was absolutely stunning and truly impressive! The tour gave a good impression of the city. However, due to the traffic density (even on Sunday), it seems advisable to book the tour not as a car tour, but by public transport (is also cheaper!). This saves a lot of time in traffic jams. The metro network is also very well developed. However, it was annoying that the trip description includes hotel pickup in Shenzhen (only Hong Kong is supposed to cost extra) and then I got the message the night before the tour that pickup from my accommodation in the Pingshan district would cost 300 yuan (36 euros) extra. Due to the short term, I had no choice but to pay. Therefore, the rating is reduced from "good" to "average".
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. However, we would like to clarify several points, as some important facts were not accurately reflected in your review. First, regarding the traffic situation: Shenzhen is not normally congested on Sundays. The heavy traffic on the day of your tour was due to a city-wide marathon, which resulted in extensive roadblocks and detours. This was an exceptional situation, not something that happens on all weekends or regular days. Under normal circumstances, our driving routes are smooth and efficient. Second, about the additional pickup fee: Your accommodation in Pingshan is located over 1.5 hours away from Shenzhen city center. The supplemental fee you were quoted was already a very minimal amount considering the distance and time required for the driver and guide. You initially wrote your address as SZTU, and our driver, at first glance, thought it was STU. Once we clarified your exact location, we immediately informed you of the extra-long-distance surcharge. We also clearly told you that if you felt the additional cost was unacceptable, you could cancel the tour for free — because honestly, the distance was extremely far for us as well. However, you confirmed that you accepted the surcharge, so our guide still drove nearly two hours to pick you up. It is very disappointing that after we made this special effort, your review suggests the fee was unreasonable. Additionally, our guide provided attentive service throughout the day. Knowing that you preferred inexpensive meals, he even took you to a budget-friendly restaurant. The tour was scheduled to finish at 5:30 PM, but because your hotel was so far away, our guide did not end his workday until nearly 7:00 PM — and we did not charge you anything extra for the extended hours. We always do our best to offer honest, friendly and professional service. It is therefore disheartening for our guide to receive a negative review after putting in so much effort to accommodate your special circumstances. Nevertheless, we appreciate your feedback and will continue improving our services.
Our Shenzhen day tour with Albert was excellent. He planned the route perfectly and guided us smoothly through the Robot Exhibition and a drone food-delivery demo. Albert showed up over 30 minutes late. He had no in-depth knowledge of the history and economic dynamics. His cell-phone ran out of battery, so he could not use it to look up data. Albert was friendly and spoke reasonable English

Knowing this city was unforgettable, its development in a few years made it the Chinese Tech Pole. Its modern building, extensive motorways, cleaning and robotization, have made it the model to follow. You should not miss Shenzen bay, where you can find electronic items of all kinds. I recommend visiting the Contemporary Museum to see the differences from what was a fishing village to this spectacular city.
