The famous Mycenae and the Ancient theatre of Epidaurus are waiting for us to recount their rich history and to step us back in time on a history tour.

We pick you up from our meeting point and we begin our tour to the majestic historical monuments of Argolis.
The first stop on the tour is the famous Mycenae, home of the Mycenaean civilization, where we will visit the famous Cyclopean walls surrounding the triangular acropolis, the Lion Gate which was the symbol of the power of the Mycenaean rulers and the famous vaulted tombs of Atreus and Clytemnestra.
The next stop is the Ancient Epidaurus, one of the most known archaeological sites of Greece in all over the world, which is considered to be the birthplace of medicine. We wander in the Ancient Theater, which is the most beautiful and best reserved among all the ancient theatres and we are impressed by its perfect acoustics.
Finally we return to Nafplio and you set off for your acquaintance with the city of Nafplio

Seeing all the statues that they found. The theater in Epidaurus is also the most well maintained that we've seen in all of Greece. It was amazing.

Driver was knowledgeable. He shared historical information and was pleasant. While he did not act as a guide he dropped us off and waited.

Dear Sari, Thank you very much for your feedback. If you look carefully at your voucher for this service, you had booked a roundtrip transfer to both sites with an English speaking driver (NO guide). Since you were 8 people in total for this departure, we decided on our own without any extra charge to you, to book an English speaking tour leader who would accompany you, providing some basic information during the transfers. She's NOT a licensed guide but a tour leader, so according to Greek legislation she's not allowed to provide any historical informaton. If you wanted a more detailed tour you could book our relevant service on Viator that includes transfer and licensed guide at both sites and of course with a more expensive rate than the one you booked and confirmed. Our driver George was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was patient as we explored the sites and helped us understand the history of the area. Corinth as added to our trip, which was a wonderful addition.
The sites were amazing. However, the description in the tour was "Our English speaking driver will narrate the history of each site during the transfer"....our driver, although very friendly and accommodating, gave us no historical background on either site whatsoever, which was very disappointing. This is something you absolutely expect when choosing a Viator tour, and it lessened the experience for us tremendously. As an aside, I have found on numerous Viator excursions the description was inaccurate, and things listed to be covered/visited were not.
