Our daily shuttles offer a safe, convenient, and economical way to travel between the most popular destinations in Costa Rica. Shuttle service is a shared transportation option in an air-conditioned minibus (or coaster) between popular destinations. Shuttle routes operate daily, and in some cases there are multiple departure times throughout the day. However, shuttles are by no means a public bus. All the vehicles used for shuttle transportation are air conditioned, well-maintained minibuses (passenger vans) driven by reliable and punctual Costa Rican bilingual professionals, who are eager to help you move safely around the country. Pickup Locations & Times
• Hotel pickup from Monteverde/Santa Elena only. We will pick you up at the hotel, private home or identifiable landmark to start this great expedition. • Hotel drop off at San Jose/Alajuela only. We will drop you off at the airport, hotel, private home or identifiable landmark. • Pickup time depends on the pickup location. Please provide the pickup location so we can give you an approximate pickup time. • The pickup time may vary without notice depending on road traffic and other pick-ups. • Please be ready 15 minutes before the confirmed pickup time. • The driver will wait a maximum of 10 minutes at the pickup location for a passenger traveling on shared shuttles. If passenger doesn't show 10 minutes passed the pickup time they will be considered No Show and 100% of the service will be charged.

- All shared shuttles include a 10 minute rest stop where passengers can stretch, use the facilities, and get a snack. This stop may be a connection stop or may involve a change of vehicle depending on the route.

- Morning shared shuttles are operated with a minimum of 2 passengers. If you are only 1 passenger, you can still check for availability since it is possible that we have more passengers on that same date/time and thus accommodate your reservation at the closest time/date available.
- Afternoon shared shuttles are operated with a minimum of 4 passengers. If you have fewer passengers, you can still check for availability since it is possible that we have more passengers on that same date/time and thus accommodate your reservation at the closest time/date available.
- Please provide us with the departure time, and exact name of the pick-up and drop-off locations (airport, hotel, private home, or identifiable landmark in Costa Rica). Otherwise, we can't completely confirm the booking until we have all this info.

Evan was an amazing driver on our private transfer from MonteVerde to San Jose (2 couples). We experienced lots of weather and traffic and he handled it flawlessly. We highly recommend Faro Travel Costa Rica for your driver needs!
On time . Nice vehicle. Nice people. The transportation was set up for us by a travel agent. All was smooth. I recommend this company.
Communicated the pick up time, was very friendly and drove very safe. Stopped at a rest area for a break halfway through.
Arrived on time, drove safely and brought us to our destination all in one piece!! Nice van and very clean too.
They canceled on us the afternoon before we were supposed to be getting picked up at 8:00am. We had to figure out another transportation very last minute. We did receive a refund. We were never told why they canceled on us, but I believe they accidentally overbooked their shuttle ride.
The driver was not only on time but early, which was important to me because with a different transfer company getting to our destination from the airport, when we first arrived to costa rica, they were forty five minutes late. The ride was great; efficient clean, comfortable, new vehicle, even free wifi though it doesn't work, won't you leave town. I would recommend.
The cost of the transportation was well worth it. The shuttle is clean and spacious. The ride was actually smoother than expected, given the hilly terrain with alot of curvy roads at the start of the trip. The driver was very professional and gracious. My friend was car sick at some point, and he helped her through the trip by slowing down the driving and have her sit on the front. Thank you for the wonderful service.

Be careful as they will come earlier than stated and drop you at an unconfirmed location. The actual drive was great but the pickup time in my email was 1 and they arrived at 12:30. Thank goodness I was at the location! The drive was about 4 hours but then he said he was dropping me at a hotel. One that I wasn’t staying at. When I insisted the mall as originally booked, he wouldn’t take me to the agreed upon and confirmed location. He put me out on the wrong side and then said I wouldn’t hang around here …it’s not safe!!! I was pissed. He could have driven me on the backside of the mall- the location that was input and confirmed. But he would not. Little shady to me but I made it!

Therefore, we encourage our customers to book Private Transportation instead, if they would like to choose their pickup time and drop-off locations at their best convenience. Regarding your drop-off location, we always strive to accommodate our customers' preferences, but it is essential to provide us with the drop-off location in advance (hotel or identifiable landmark) to check if we can do drop-offs there (which you didn't do). Otherwise, telling the driver last minute may not assure us that we can provide pickup and drop-off service, and it will depend on availability. Freddy was super friendly and informative! Would highly recommend their shuttle service. Their shuttle was extremely comfortable and Freddy was extremely helpful and welcoming. We even saw howler monkeys on the way! I would definitely use their services again.
