The ride was better going to the train station then the pick up a few days earlier. My best complaint is there is zero communication with the driver. He was not friendly at all.
It was my error not noticing you had to travel to get picked up. For 7 of us it meant 2 blocks of crossing bridges taking a water bus to there location. Since I didn’t have cell service I missed this detail and they wouldn’t work with me as there was no way 7 of us could make it in time. We ended taking the water bus directly to the train station in 1/4 of the time. If I had known this we would have done that to begin with and saved the $$$ this company charges. Never heard of you meeting a taxi before and they were so cheap wouldn’t give us any kind of refund even though we tried numerous was to contact them saying there was no possible way of 5 seniors with suitcases could make it! Check your maps for the local water bus and all the details of this service before booking. Poor customer service and such and huge cost for 7 of us!! Don’t use them unless it’s your hotel they pick up at. Lugging suitcases up and down the stairs is a nightmare!!
Ali Laguna is a cost effective way to and from Marco Polo airport to st marks Venice. It takes about 75 mins which is significantly longer than a water taxi. Recommend you book tickets in advance at peak times.
Expensive short trip, same price as the trip from Airport to hotel! and Pick up way too early, it could be at least 1 hour later.
It was an easy transfer from the water taxi stop near our hotel to the train station. There were no problems and it was a smooth process.
Very easy to use. Information about the transfer received in plenty of time. Highly recommended. Value for money.
Travel from the hotel to the train station via water taxi was pretty painless. Although they didn’t pick us up where we asked, and they said they would, they did let us know with plenty of time, where they would and it wasn’t that far. They were very close to being on time as well. The rest of the trip to the train station (from San Marco) was a quick 10-15 min pleasant ride. Unlike our trip from the airport to Venice, this ride was very very good.
It was terrible. I was supposed to get picked up at my hotel in Venice then a day before it turned into the Grand Canal. I was staying no where near there. There were 4 ladies in late 60’s with luggage. But here’s the kicker it was supposed to be an 8 am pickup time. And 12 hours before I was asking where and no one could tell me. At 8 am I still didn’t know where. At 8:15 am I cancelled and had to get the hotel to order us a last minute taxi. I requested a refund because they could not supply me an address and no one at Viator could either or get hold of the boat. Do not book on Viator.
Pick up near the Rialto Hotel was on time and it was only a 15 minute water taxi trip to the Train Station
The driver was very helpful with our luggage. We could not get on boat from our landing suggested we walk over the bridge to an easier Point to board
