Our guide knew his history. Shared a van with another couple. Van clean with good A/C and driver seemed to do a good job navigating the streets of Manila.
We had a very knowledgeable tour guide in Frank who showed us and explained well many of the major tourist sites. It was a comfortable experience. Frank set the pace to accommodate those who struggled a bit with their waking.
A lot to see but see it we did with an enthusiastic guide who collected us from the cruise terminal and had a car and driver with her/us throughout. The turbulent history, the beautiful buildings and the beautiful flower market. Such a lot in a short time - thank you.
Although the guide Frank tried his hardest this tour was badly organised. This started with being given the wrong meeting place in the tour confirmation email (12 out of 14 people on the tour) meaning the tour start was delayed by over 1 hour. We only visited the American Cemetery memorial which took over 1 hour in traffic to reach and then 2 stops in Intramuros. The rest was drive by as there was not enough time to stop anywhere else. The guide was knowledgeable but clearly had an issue with guests from Australia as he mocked our accent on a few occasions. Not worth the money spent.
I had done this same tour a year prior with my daughter and knew my husband would enjoy it too. Frank was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and easy to understand. He gave us time to see the sights and never rushed us. Great tour!
The cemetery and the old town. Good guide. Frank. They were 1 hour late picking us up but all went well after that.
Unfortunately, like most other people on the tour we booked a private tour but ended up on a coach with 15 others. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! Having said that, the tour itself was pretty good and Frank the guide was very good. Unfortunately when you pay for a PRIVATE tour and you get a group tour you are very annoyed and should receive a refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very annoyed when you are trusting of Viatour who we expect to be a reputable organisation. Luckily it has been three weeks since the tour and I have calmed down a lot.
We sincerely apologize for the disappointment. The tour we offered was meant to be a shared tour but the way it was priced was confusing. In view of this, we will communicate with Viator and process a refund to your account. Appreciate if you can share your Booking reference number for our immediate reference. thank you.
Manila contrasts of the old and new are remarkable. The only way to really see and appreciate this is by car. However the dreaded Manila traffic makes this difficult. Essentially we sat in the car in traffic for 3 of the 4 hours of the tour. That being said from the air conditioned comfort of the car we were able to appreciate the incredible sights of the two conflicting areas - old versus the new. A very comprehensive tour that will help you with the understanding of the local ways of life. But be prepared for a long time in the car.
We thoroughly enjoyed our guide(I think his name was Richard). He took many photos with his nice camera, and then sent them to us. It wad great.
Luneta is a place for everyone. A very nice place to spend time with the family members with or without occasions. You can walk around, play games with your family, you can bring food as well sit and relax. Luneta is the national park of the country and you can see the statue of the National Hero of the country, you can see there a wide map of the country. This park is an open park, I would suggest wearing comfortable shoes is good because it's a huge park to walk around.
