Itinerary
Lake Sevan- is the largest body of water in Armenia and the Caucasus region. It is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude (alpine) lakes in Eurasia. The lake is situated in Gegharkunik Province, at an altitude of 1,900 m above sea level. Its colors and shades change with the weather and by its own mysterious processes, from a dazzling azure to dark blue and a thousand shades in between.
Sevanavank Monastery- is a monastic complex located on a peninsula at the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan. Initially the monastery was built at the southern shore of a small island. After the artificial draining of Lake Sevan, which started in the era of Joseph Stalin, the water level fell about 20 meters, and the island transformed into a peninsula. According to an inscription in one of the churches, the monastery of Sevanavank was founded in 874 by Princess Mariam, the daughter of Ashot I (who became a king a decade later). At the time, Armenia was still struggling to free itself from Arab rule.
Hagharstin Monastery- Haghartsin is a 13th-century monastery located near the town of Dilijan in the Tavush Province of Armenia. It was built between the 10th and 13th centuries (in the 12th under Khachatur of Taron); much of it under the patronage of the Bagratuni Dynasty.
Dilijan Old Town is a small, charming historic street with traditional Armenian wooden balconies, stone houses, art shops, and cozy cafés. It’s a peaceful place to walk, take photos, and experience the cultural side of Dilijan
Lake Parz is a small, picturesque forest lake surrounded by lush greenery in Dilijan National Park. Known for its calm waters and peaceful atmosphere, it’s a perfect spot for relaxing walks, boating, and enjoying nature.

We had a wonderful trip to Armenia with Memory Makers in the end of June. The guides Levon and Hovo were amazing and showed us the places and gave us all details about it. They made sure whether we were always comfortable and supplied us with water and cold drinks whenever we got tired. Thank you Teresa, Levon and Hovo for making our trip so memorable. Memory makers are highly recommended for all people travelling to Armenia.
