Itinerary
We fly from June to November in Kogatende. For a lifetime experience such as this, you want to make sure you fly with the best. Since the 1970s, we’ve been crafting exceptional balloon safaris and the memories we create are a combination of our long experience, our attention to detail and our desire to make your flight with us truly extraordinary. Each flight is a different journey dictated by the direction of the wind, where the sights and sounds rise from the ground to meet you. We know where we’ve started but we don’t know where we will return to earth. This is part of the adventure. Sometimes the basket will be gently brushing the tips of the grass and sometimes it will be climbing, climbing through the layers of air until you’re high enough to see the curve of the horizon, painted gold and pink by the early sun. Each flight lasts for approximately 1 hour and we celebrate with a champagne toast before enjoying a sumptuous 'full-english' breakfast under an acacia tree.

Great experience. Talented staff and gracious hospitality. Highly recommended.
The experience was outstanding. The organization is very organized and efficient with an emphasis on safety. The quality of the ride was incredible. We had a wonderful time. The breakfast was the best breakfast I have had since I have been in Africa.
Awesome experience that I didn’t want to do but my family did and I didn’t want to be left behind. And I am so glad I did it.
It was amazing experience, I saw a lot of animals than I expected, beautiful sunrise and and lots of animal sightings, nice breakfast in the middle of nowhere, I will recommend it to anyone who is planning to visit Tanzania to do The ballooning with Serengeti balloon safari
What an incredible experience! Zumo was an exceptional pilot, making the flight both relaxing and unforgettable. Every member of the ground team was so friendly and welcoming, the champagne celebration after landing was a lovely touch, and the breakfast was phenomenal. The whole experience was flawlessly organised from start to finish. I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough.
Excellent food and service and the setting was perfect
The balloons were very large, fitting 16 people, but still small enough you could speak with the pilot and ask questions. Our pilot John was very kind and knew so much about the animals and the balloon, I would recommend.
Here are professionals at work. We were picked up at our hotel with a new off-road vehicle with smooth driver. Along the way we saw some wild animals, such as lions and hyenas. Once we arrived we were classified by balloon and it was waiting for the sunrise. Tea, coffee was available as well as toilets. Then get in, as taught, in your own profession. Some more fire in the balloon and then we're off. Beautiful view over the Serengeti just after sunrise. We were not lucky enough to fly above the Great Migration, but we were lucky enough to fly over the river with at least 100 hippos. Then followed a soft landing, and a moment to wait towards breakfast in the bush. Not a meagre affair, but à la carte with a choice of 3 menus. Fast operation in a natural setting. Enjoy when it has been handled so professionally.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience. We’re delighted you enjoyed the sunrise views, the wildlife sightings, and the bush breakfast all handled with care by our professional team. Your kind words mean a lot to us and inspire us to keep creating magical Serengeti moments.
My driver picked me up at 4:30AM from my Serengeti tented camp, and we had an hour and 10 minute drive to the takeoff site...but it realy took about an hour and 20-25 minutes to get there. We did see the wildebeest eyes glowing in the dark (thousands of them, but my pictures didn't turn out), and that was amazing as well as a female lion was walking in the early AM. Instructions had begun once I got to the site, but i was quickly brought up to speed about how to get in and out of the basket and use of the safely belt. Hearing the balloons filling and anticipation of being carried into the sky was exciting...and it really does feel like you are floating through the air...it was absolutely amazing!!!! My first time to be in a hot air balloon. We saw several different types of animals but not in large numbers except for the hippos...there were several in the river. The landing was flawless and we enjoyed champagne with mango juice before being driven to the breakfast site under the Acacia tree. The chef and staff outdid themselves in feeding us a scrumptious english breakfast. Both the presentation and delectable tastes were superb. Certificates were given to each particpant and that was pretty cool...a nice souvenir of a marvelous experience in the skies of the Serengeti. I would definitely do this again!! Ruthann
Thank you, Ruthann, for sharing your beautiful story We’re so glad your first balloon flight felt magical from the glowing wildebeest eyes to the flawless landing and bush breakfast under the acacia. Your joy and kind words truly inspire us to keep creating unforgettable Serengeti moments.
This was a fantastic experience. From Eddie meeting us the night before and giving us a briefing of what to expect, what to wear and our 4am departure, to Captain Elly giving us an incredible flight through the Serengeti, it was a highlight of our family trip. Elly was knowledgeable and made everyone feel comfortable from start to finish of the flight. The champagne toast and breakfast following were all top notch. Such a memorable experience! Thank you Captain Elly & Eddie! Highly recommend.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful review, we’re thrilled Eddie’s thoughtful briefing and Captain Elly’s incredible flight made your family’s Serengeti adventure so memorable. Knowing the champagne toast and bush breakfast were highlights too truly warms our hearts.
