Our tour leader will come and pick you up at your hotel in Skopje and head towards the capital of Kosovo, Pristina. Here we will make a city tour.
Not to be missed is the Newborn monument, symbol of their independence and being a young new country.
The main boulevard in the capital, Sheshi Nena Tereza, is a nice street to stroll through and enjoy a coffee at one of the bars. Here we will also pass the Skanderberg square with the statue of Skanderberg himself, the national Albanian hero
We will continue our tour towards Prizren. The town is considered as the cultural capital of Kosovo, mixing its rich history, incredible nature, religious tolerance and gastronomic delights. Prizren has played an important role in the region as an Illyrian settlement and a crossroad for the Byzantine and Ottoman empires, contributing to the unique architecture of the city. The river flows through the heart of the old town and under the many bridges that crisscross the city. If you are looking to experience a lively international experience you should visit Prizren during August when the medieval city becomes home to one of the most famous short film festivals in the world named Dokufest. The best way to explore the town is by wandering through the streets passing by elegant medieval houses that fight for your attention
Filigree artisanal techniques for precious metals are Prizren’s joy and pride. Don’t miss the unique experience of shopping in one of the many filigree shops of the town, where you are welcomed to also see the metalsmithing magic happen.
If you have to choose just one mosque to visit then visit the Sinan Pasha Mosque, rich in arabesque colour and pattern.
The view from the fortress on the hill above the town offers a great panorama of this astonishing town.
After exploring the cultural capital of Kosovo, we will drive back to Skopje.

A really great day exploring Kosovo's two main cities. Valdrin was a great driver and guide, and we were so glad to hear the insights of a Kosovan into his country - lots of other tours from Skopje apparently use Macedonian guides. Logistically so easy- picker up and dropped off at our hotel. The border crossing was a breeze. Highly recommended.
A wet, rainy day in Kosovo became a peak travel experience because of a thoughtful, highly professional guide. Valdrin is so knowledgeable and kind; I learned so much about the history of the region, saw amazing places, and left with a desire to return. Couldn’t have been a better experience even with the rain!!!

We've had great experience with Choose Balkans – from booking till the end of our tour. We were picked up from our hotel in Skopje and went to Pristina with our guide Sedat. He gave us so much information on Balkan history and Kosovo, it was impressive. After Pristina, we went to Prizren and loved the place. It's such a beautiful and idyllic little city. Definitely one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. We had lunch in a beautiful restaurant with local food which was really delicious. When we come back, we will definitely "Choose Balkans" again. Thank you!

Enes was an amazing guide - he really made the trip to Kosovo worthwhile! He was prompt with picking us up at our accommodation, and immediately made us feel comfortable and prepared to enjoy our day. We got to see the sights in Pristina, to include the national library and art exhibitions, as well as a wonderful coffee shop where we got to have authentic Balkan breakfast food and drink ☕️. In Prizren, we saw all the sights and sounds of the city, as well as getting to visit a local restaurant tucked away in the quieter part of the city (a jewel in our opinion 💎)! He even took us inside of a church and mosque within Prizren to see the architectural differences and the special parts about these locations in this city vs. others ⛪️. The amount of detail Enes gave about Kosovo’s history was impressive, and it made the trip have even more meaning and helped us to truly understand Kosovo. On top of it all, he took great photos of us that we will always cherish 📸. Thanks to Enes and the team for a wonderful experience in Kosovo! 🇽🇰 Also - he gave us a great recommendation for Amigos in Skopje when we returned - they had amazing Mexican food that was the best we’ve had in a while 🌮🌯!

We enjoyed very much our tour to Pristina and Prizren. Our guide, Arber, joined us in Pristina; he was very gentle, knowledgeable and accommodating. He helped us to better understand Kosovo´s history and culture, specially the last war. Prizren is a lovely city! Arber took us to some interesting places, and to have lunch in a nice restaurant by the river, where we had an excellent lunch. We had a delightful day with him. We highly recommend the tour in Kosovo! However, it is difficult for me to say that we were not so happy with our driver from Skopje. Actually, we were quite nervous because he drove sometimes only one hand or none, even if we asked him to use both.
