We found this too complicated to use. If you work in tech you'll stand a better chance. We downloaded everything in situ at Monaco train station as this was the starting point of our tour. Unfortunately Monaco is a rabbit warren of a station and everything is underground. After 40 minutes of wandering around the station we could not locate the exact start point of the tour. If you are not at the exact point then the directions given do not make sense. We gave up. Waste of money.
Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience with our tour at Monaco train station. We’re deeply sorry to hear that the app felt complicated and that the station’s layout made it challenging to find the starting point. We understand how frustrating it must have been to spend 40 minutes navigating without success, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. To address this, we’re adding a specific note to our tour materials clarifying that the starting point is at Pont Sainte-Dévote in Monaco, as indicated on the tickets. We’re also reviewing our app’s instructions and offline maps to ensure clearer guidance, especially for complex locations like Monaco’s underground station. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to make your next experience with us seamless and enjoyable. Warm regards,
Just make sure you exit the station at the top entrance otherwise it’s a long walk up to the start. But once you are there it’s a great way to explore Monaco at your own pace and to have someone giving you loads of interesting facts about the place as you go. So much better than strolling around not knowing what you are looking at.
We’re so glad you enjoyed exploring Monaco with the audioguide! It’s great to hear it made the city’s sights and stories come alive and gave you the freedom to go at your own pace. Thanks for the tip about the station exit — future travellers will appreciate it. Hope Monaco left you with some wonderful memories!
Easy to use. Love that it knows when we have arrived or are lost. Great information, HOWEVER, you state on Rue de Caroline that she died from a cerebral incident in the 1980’s. That is incorrect-Princess Grace died. Princess Caroline is very much alive.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're really glad to hear you enjoyed the self-guided tour experience and found the navigation features helpful. We also truly appreciate you pointing out the historical inaccuracy — you're absolutely right, and we’re already working on correcting that detail in our audio guide. Your attention to detail helps us improve and ensures an even better experience for future guests. Thanks again, and we hope to accompany you on another adventure soon! Warm regards, The Riviera Bar Crawl & Tours Team
We did not think the walking directions from each site to the next were very good in the Navicup app. We ended up using the Maps app for directions. Then we just listened to the content in Navicup app when we arrived at the site.
This is a very worthwhile tour. The spots you see are the major sites. They are well described with interesting histories and facts. You can stop and go at your leisure and skip what does not interest you. Great for the indépendant tourist.
The walking tour looked like a good concept. However there were several issues, First the audio was extremely difficult for more than one person to hear. Second, I could not figure out a way to view the map and listen to the dialog simultaneously, so it was extremely difficult to stay on the recommended path and listen to the audio. Third, it rained the entire day during our tour so after a couple hours we were soaked and cold/miserable. Fourth, we did not realize that we were booking our tour just before the Monte Carlo F1 Grand Prix auto race (which is usually in May/June), so the course preparations made parts of the tour difficult to follow. since we ended our audio tour early we only saw a small percentage of the sights. If the weather and city conditions were different I think the tour might be enjoyable.
