Itinerary
The Spanish Fort overlooks Hvar Town and provides wide views over the harbor and surrounding islands. Upon arrival, you can park the buggy nearby and explore the fort at your own pace. Visitors can walk along the historic walls and learn more about its important defensive role in protecting the town.
Malo Grablje is an abandoned stone village located a short drive from Hvar Town. Once a small farming settlement, it was gradually deserted in the 20th century as residents moved closer to the coast. Today, its empty stone houses and narrow paths create a quiet and atmospheric setting, offering a glimpse into Hvar’s rural past. It is a unique stop for walking, exploring, and taking photos away from the busy seaside areas.
Zaraće is a small village located about 7 km from Hvar Town on the island’s southern cliffs. Below the village are two pebble coves; Velo Zaraće to the right and Malo Zaraće to the left, separated by only a few hundred meters. Surrounded by steep rocky cliffs and clear blue sea, these beaches offer a more natural and dramatic setting than most beaches near town.
About 9 km east of Hvar Town, along the southern coast, lies the beautiful cove of Dubovica. Above the pebble beach stands a historic stone house that resembles a small seaside castle, giving the cove its distinctive character. The buggy is parked along the main road above, followed by a walk of less than 10 minutes down to the beach. Proper shoes are recommended, as the path is uneven.
Tvrdalj Castle was the summer residence of the Croatian poet Petar Hektorović (1487–1572). In the 16th century, when Hvar faced attacks from the Ottoman Empire, Hektorović fortified his home so it could serve as a refuge for local residents. Today, visitors can explore this historic complex and see how a Renaissance noble combined poetry, architecture and defense in one unique residence.
Duboković Winery is a small, family-owned winery located near Jelsa, known for producing high-quality wines from native Dalmatian grape varieties. With a strong focus on tradition and limited production, the winery offers a more intimate and authentic tasting experience compared to larger commercial producers. Visitors can learn about local winemaking methods, explore the cellar, and enjoy carefully crafted wines that reflect the character of Hvar’s climate and soil.
Brusje is a small traditional village located in the hills above Hvar Town, known for its lavender fields, olive groves and stone houses. Surrounded by dry-stone walls and open countryside, the village offers a peaceful atmosphere and wide views over the island’s northern coast. It is one of the oldest settlements on Hvar and provides insight into the island’s rural life and agricultural traditions.
Fort Napoleon rises above Hvar Town and offers one of the best panoramic views on the island. From the viewpoint, you can see the town’s red rooftops, the Pakleni Islands and the open Adriatic Sea. Park the buggy below the fortress, walk a few meters to the viewpoint and take your time enjoying the scenery and taking photos, especially at sunset.

Hands down one of my favorite ways to see all of the best stops recommended by the locals. It was so nice to make each stop at our own pace and amend the itinerary as we liked.
Loved renting from this company. The self-guided tour is amazing, and the brothers were delightful. Best trip idea ever!
The shop owners were great. We were a group of 4, so we rented 2 quads. Our quads and helmets were basically brand new and in great condition. The guys reviewed for us how to operate them, and provided a map that we could put onto our phones. Our quad even had a USB for charging. Based on their map, you could do this tour in about 3 hours, or 6, and they were super flexible about either returning before closing time (6:30 PM) or even the following morning, if we used them longer. Based on their map, we spent about 5 hours touring, and saw so many beautiful and unique spots--an abandoned village, (fun to explore), great beaches, had lunch in Stari Grad, and saw the Hvar equivalent of "Little Venice"-absolutely beautiful! We would visit and rent from this team again! We highly recommend.
Great decision to take a day and explore Hvar. Skip the stock group stuff and venture out on your own - you won’t be sorry.
Amazing way to see the island. Make sure you stop at Geco restaurant for lunch and the beach and Stari Grad. The stop at Brusje and the views from Fort Napolean are not to be missed! Thanks for a grest day.
Thank you very much for your kind review! We’re glad you enjoyed exploring the island and hope to see you again in the future. -Kristijan
What an experience! Such a fantastic way to explore the island at your own pace. The guys provided such a detailed map of a suggested route, which was very handy and we saw some of the most amazing beaches that we wouldn’t have without this transport. Highly recommend Real Hvar!!
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the route and discovered beautiful beaches with us. We truly appreciate your recommendation! -Ante
The best experience by far! Spend the 120euros total - worth it! Christian, the owner, is a very caring business owner and provides excellent instructions & tips on how to enjoy your day. He created a Google map with all the highlighted stops - you simply use the QR Code, and the interactive map pops up! Be sure to stop at the "Family Farm" in Brusje to have dinner - you will sit in a quaint open air bistro over loading the sra and the village- the food is authentic and it it a very special experience! Also- be sure to take your time going through the abandoned village with the olive oil press - incredible! I would do this experience again in a heartbeat! Thank you Christian ... from The Ball Family, Canafa.

The staff were very helpful and shared a recommended route for a few beaches and other towns. We had an issue with our quad, and the staff were easy to contact and came to our location to replace the quad. Excellent service and experience.
Thank you for your kind words!
We are a, family who enjoys holidays in Hvar, and we are looking for the regulated and fair places... And we must say that the way the owner treated us was unrivaled pleasant.... It was possible to take extended insurance with this company to reduce self-risk in the event of an accident. (It was not. something we found with other landlords). Communication was good and respectful. And we will definitely return next time we have to rent. On Hvar. Everything from booking, to pickup, to delivery took place, with a smile and good service.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re happy to hear you had a great experience with us and that everything from booking to drop-off went smoothly.
Just be prepared to put a deposit down on the quad bikes, you’ll get it back providing you looked after the bikes at the end. Absolutely loved the experience, the map was well thought out and wish we’d given ourselves the whole day to explore Hvar.
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊
