Saturday is the best day to go

Beautiful coast and a charming town make for a nice day at your own pace. Going on Saturday reduces the traffic significantly. St Paul de Vence is charming and unlike in the past the outer wall as open for walking. Not for the faint of heart (not very wide, uneven masonry) but worth the effort. Lots of shops and art of all sorts.

Charming and beautiful medieval town

We went to St. Paul de Vence, a charming medieval village frequented by well-known artists including Picasso, Matisse, Chagall and Renoir. Lots of narrow, windy, hilly passages lined with artistic shops with interesting clothing, food, art, etc. Fabulous experience, definitely go!
