Secret Zante Tour with Monastery, Blue Caves and Local Tastings
Description
It's easy to see why the Venetians called Zante the ‘Flower of the East'. This exclusive tour takes in the villages of Lithakia and Kampi as well as the Anafonitria monastery and a boat trip to the Blue Caves. Along the way, you'll get to taste some sweet local delicacies and wine produced on the island. Visit Bochali lookout point for grandstand views over the Ionian Sea. Next up is a visit to a mill in Lithakia to taste its organic olive oil. Then there's a traditional sweet treat on offer in Kampi en route to Anafonitria. Here, you'll visit a 14th-century monastery famed for its frescoes. In the afternoon, we'll head to Skinari, where, you'll hop on a boat to the Blue Caves. Carved into white cliffs, the stars of the show are its dazzling blue waters. In high season, there's also a swim stop to look forward to.

Itinerary
You'll kick off in Solomos Square, the heart of Zante's old town. Admire the Venetian-style buildings before heading up to Bochali lookout point for camera-grabbing views over the Ionian Sea. Next, you'll get a flavour of the Zante countryside. There's a visit to a family-owned organic olive oil mill and museum. Learn about the pressing process and sample some of their liquid gold. The next taste is a traditional sweet treat in Kampi, a hamlet nestled in olive groves.

Short stop in a traditional village for a taste of Greek delights
In the afternoon, there's a stop for local speciality tastings – wine, honey and more – in a village shop en route to Cape Skinari, the island's northernmost point. Here, you'll hop on a boat to the Blue Caves, one of the deepest points in the Med. Carved into white cliffs, its sea-smoothed walls reflect the azure waters like a mirror. In high season, there's a swim stop near the caves.
Then it's on to the 14th-century Anafonitria Monastery, famed for its frescoes. With its rustic stone exterior and rural setting, it's a real blast from the past.

You get to see a lot of the island in a day. Kay the Tui tour guide was awesome, so much knowledges of the places we saw, yanis the driver did some amazing manuvering of a 60 seater coach through very narrow roads. Finished the day off with the a boat trip to the blue caves with captain Jason and Phillip the crew, great fun, we even took a swim into one of the caves, a must do and excellent value.

Fantastic Zante Tour! The tour lasted a long time; we were picked up at 9am and got back at 5:30pm. We visited an Olive Oil Factory where we rated the local olive oil from organic to garlic and lemon; we got free soap while learning about the process, and how they used the waste for animal feed. We then travelled to an overlook which was breathtaking! The sea was deep blue! We had a piece of local cake and a drink before we moved on to the wine tasting which was fantastic! There was much on offer from sweets to honey to wine! We then stopped at a 14th century monastery which was beautiful; old stones and we saw the St Nicholas’s slippers in the church! We then travelled again to a restaurant for lunch; we had the local food - rabbit and stuffed peppers! We then traveled to harbour where we had a tour of the blue caves and a swim stop! The swim stop could have been longer, there wasn’t enough time and I would recommend going out there again to get the full effect! Apart from that, it was a fantastic tour! You do need to keep in mind it is fast pace tour and not suitable for young children. Fantastic day

We had a lovely day tasting olive oil, red and white wines, diving in paradise blue seas and the tour guide was very friendly with an excellent level of English. However on the day the coach was very packed leading some to become verbally and physical irate towards my Mother and I which left a sour taste for the journey. We enjoyed the wine tasting and bought a few products from each stop made, but were put off by the over amorous groping of one male individual. This is the reasoning for giving 4 and not 5 stars unfortunately, but we must be honest as in this day and age as it’s highly unacceptable.
