Enjoy a stroll around the secret gardens of Venice, often hidden behind the facades and walls of the its magnificent palazzos. People often refer to Venice as the city of canals and bridges. You will be surprised: the more than 500 gardens largely exceed the 403 bridges in the city! Follow a delightful and off the beaten path route through the most magical gardens of Venice: take a walk around public parks, inner courtyards with greenery and idyllic monastery gardens. Relax within these places of silence, smell the scent of trees and flowers and feast your eyes on the colorful blossoms.

A hidden garden belonging to a community of nuns, who will kindly open their doors for us. Those lucky enough to enter it will find themselves in a beautiful garden with fruit trees, walking underneath beautiful pergolas with flowers and mystic plants
One of the less known and less visited green area in the city: a peaceful for a relaxing stroll next to a charming villa and a theathre with a rich program of dance, music and performances
A hidden park in Cannaregio district which was the secret garden of noble famlies sorounding their fancy houses.
A garden center in a hidden corner of the city, where venetians choose geraniums and surfinias to make the summer of Venice more colorful and cylamen to brighten up the foggy winter of this beautiful city.
A hidden green oasis with several modern art sculpturs in a off the beaten path area facing the northern lagoon
A piece of poetry made into a garden, wiht a fascinating view on the the Arsenale docks and walls

Valerio was very welcoming and explained clearly what we were going to see in four different gardens. He was knowledgeable about the plants and the history of the gardens and he was attentive to the group‘s interests.

I already knew Valerio from another tour... knowledgeable, charming, and also funny. Unfortunately, I chose the tour in English. For better understanding, I will choose German in the future. I would skip the park. It is not particularly worth seeing. The other three gardens certainly are.

Die Tour wurde ausdrücklich als englischsprachige Führung angeboten und auch so gebucht. Wenn Sie sich auf Deutsch wohler fühlen, empfehle ich Ihnen beim nächsten Mal eine meiner deutschsprachigen Führungen. Obwohl ich dazu nicht verpflichtet gewesen wäre, habe ich Ihnen unterwegs auch einige Erklärungen auf Deutsch gegeben, um Ihnen das Verständnis zu erleichtern. Was die Gärten betrifft, sind Geschmäcker natürlich unterschiedlich. Es freut mich, dass Ihnen drei der vier Stationen gefallen haben. Der Park ist Teil der Route, weil er die Geschichte und den Gesamtkontext der Führung ergänzt.

A nice tour of four gardens, three of which are not open to the public. A rare look into private gardens in a place where green spaces are often behind closed doors.

I had a very enjoyable tour of the secret gardens of Venice! The guide Valerio was very informative & personable! He made the whole experience great fun! I loved seeing the beautiful gardens - quiet oasis in Venice! I have visited Venice many times & I was thrilled to find this tour & have the opportunity to see parts of Cannaregio that were new to me! I highly recommend this tour!

Our guide, Valeria, was extremely knowledgeable about the 4 gardens we visited. He was born in Venice so he can answer almost any questions you have. The gardens were all very different but equally as beautiful. If you need a little tranquility while visiting Venice, take this tour!
