Great experience! Highly recommend and hope to be back. Two wonderful dives and a delicious lunch was the cherry on top. Thank you!
I am so glad you had a great time. It was so nice to get those grey nurse at Jack's Patch. Thank you for the review and the great day.
Booked a day of diving with BucketListDivers around Rottnest Island. 8am-2pm, around £150 per person for 2 dives with full kit hire. Pricier than other dives I have done abroad, but have not been diving in Australia before so can’t compare directly. Boarded the boat in the morning, the diving equipment is already set up for you. Day consisted of approximately 40 minute boat ride to first dive site, 1 hour dive, fruit for snack, further boat ride and second 1 hour dive, lunch then return. Lunch was lasagne and garlic bread, or boiled potatoes and carrots if vegan. The diving was good. First dive unfortunately had strong surge/current so reduced visibility, so second dive site was across the opposite side of the island where it was much calmer and better views. The dive sites I visited were Crystal Palace and Kingston Spit. Saw crayfish, smooth rays, grey nurse shark, wobbegong shark, port jackson shark, hundreds of fish and other sealife. Great experience. However, despite it being a very hot day for March, the water was absolutely freezing for everyone (including in undergarments) so I recommend asking for thick wetsuit undergarments in advance of the day. Staff were friendly and informative. The boat has a toilet and a shower hose. I recommend bringing seasickness tablets if a sufferer because it can get rocky even on calm days.
Thank you for your review. We are glad you had a good day out. Yes Perth isn't as warm as the tropics (22 degrees the time you came) and our prices are on par (or even less) than other diving in Australia. Australia isn't a "cheap" dive destination
A wonderful bunch of guys. Everyone was very helpful and safety conscious. After the dives we had a lovely lunch on the boat provided by bucket list dive. One of my better dives
Thank you for joining us and for the review
Enjoyed diving (mid-March 2026) with Bucket List Diver out of Fremantle: great team, comfortable vessel, DM Ward assisted us well to enjoy 2 dives on Sth side Rottnest Is. (Salmon Bay & Crystal Palace) Delicious on-board food, helpful & accommodating, thanks for the great day in lovely conditions!
Thank you so much for joining us and for the review
i had a great experience in every way you can think of with Bucket List Diver. Their customer service, communications, equipment, boat, foods & hospitality, safety, guidance & choice of sites to dive respective of conditions, & their pricing was all excellent. i highly recommend them.
Thank you for your review and so glad you enjoyed yourself
Dive guide ran out of air before the divers on both dives, after the 1st he announced he was down to 30bar to give us a 'nice long dive' (57mins at 10m). So unsafe for the person in charge of safety to be this low! Then he said he would 'need to be careful' with his air for the next dive because we were going deep. We went to 18m and he ran out of air and had to rush our safety stops, we surfaced at 42mins. Equipment was worn out, first BCD was missing the toggle for the safety release and when I pointed it out before leaving harbour the skipper & owner Antoni shrugged it off. I had to push for another BCD which they gave me but was even older and missing the velcrl from the waist belt. I only noticed kitting up and was forced to use it. Guide didn't spot any fish except for one either.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We have changed the spare gear on the boat despite it being fully functional. All of our gear is of high quality and less than 12 months old. The dive guide was having a very bad day and is no longer working for us as he stepped down after this day in particular. We do our best to make sure to provide a safe and enjoyable day out for everyone as mentioned in hundreds of other positive reviews online
Simply a great tour. Jack and Antoni were great. They emphasized safety, both were knowledgeable of the sites we were diving at and just overall a fun day! Would highly recommend the team at Bucket List Diver and would dive again!
Thank you for your review
Well that was a treat!!! 3 Grey Nurse Sharks, 3 massive Stingrays all within 10m of each other! Our heads were on a swivel, taking in ALL the beauty that Rottnest beholds. Even the Open Water Guests could enjoy this. No need for Advance with this Team as they a brilliant at working with ANY level. From OW- Instructors and everyone in between. After our 2x 1 hour dives at 2 completely different spots, we were spoilt with a lunch like no others on offer. Oh yeah, WITH a guide at all times so no worries about getting lost or needing to pop up to work out where the boat is! Or not being able to explore enough of an unknown place. The guides show you it all! Honestly, first class service and the Skipper even treats you like "Findarella" by putting your Fins on! The Skipper also does a secondary Buddy Check to ensure safety. If that's not perfect service for a Scuba Diver, I don't know what is?!
Thanks for your review
This is an excellent dive operation! The Captain and Divemasters were professional, friendly, helpful and fun. We had a full boat but everything was ready for us when it was time to board. Boat and dive site briefings were very good, informative and accurate. The snacks and lunch were delicious. I was diving with rental gear (a wing, something I hadn't used before) and struggled a bit with trim and buoyancy; the DM was attentive and gave me a couple pointers between dives. We also had a nice chat on the way in after the dives...it's always nice when the crew keeps engaged with the clients after all the diving is done. I highly recommend Bucket List Diver.
Thank you so much for the review and we are so glad you joined us for diving and enjoyed yourself
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 9/10 Dive Experience at Rottnest Island I had an incredible day diving around Rottnest Island, thanks largely to our captain, Anthony. His knowledge of the area was outstanding—he clearly knows the island inside out and took us to the smoothest, most scenic dive spots. You can tell he spends most of his week out there. Value for Money The admission fee was very reasonable, and adding full dive gear for only $90 felt like a great deal. Dive Details We completed two long and memorable dives. Dive 1: Roe Reef – 16 meters for 57 minutes Dive 2: The Windmill – 10 meters for an impressive 68 minutes Both sites were packed with sea life and offered beautiful variety. These dives easily rank among my favourites out of the 20 I’ve done—despite being a bit colder than the warm-water dives I’m used to, the equipment kept me perfectly comfortable. Atmosphere & Boat The boat is small but well-suited for a group of 10 divers. Deck space is basic, and the return trip was rough and wet due to the usual swell between Rottnest and the mainland. Standing and holding on for the hour-long ride back wasn’t the most comfortable part of the day, but it’s part of the adventure. Group Size & Staff A group of 10 with two instructors felt ideal—never crowded, always supported. The staff and crew were flawless. Friendly, professional, and attentive from start to finish. Overall A fantastic experience with abundant marine life, long dives, and a knowledgeable team. I’d happily dive with them again. Solid 9/10.
Thank you much for your review :) We appreciate it and glad you enjoyed your day out with us
