Itinerary
One of the most important and largest castles in Scottish history, Stirling Castle sits on top of a hill of volcanic rock above the town of Stirling.
Historically the ‘Stone of Destiny’ was housed at Scone Palace, the iconic crowning place of Scotland’s Kings and Queens. Explore the stunning art and architecture of the Palace, follow in the footsteps of 42 Scottish Kings across the Moot Hill, adventure through 100 acres of Gardens and Grounds, and relax in our Old Servants' Hall Coffee Shop with a famous Scone at Scone. An 80 min drive from Glasgow
This stretch of magical Perthshire forest was originally designed as a pleasure ground in the 18th century for the Dukes of Atholl. Douglas firs tower over the paths leading to the roaring Black Linn Falls, where the River Braan crashes down into the deep, foaming pools below. Overlooking the waterfall is the picturesque folly known as Ossian’s Hall, built in 1757 as the focal point in an extensive designed landscape. Decorated with mirrors, sliding panels and paintings, it has been refurbished to re-create the illusions of shock, surprise and amazement that were the aims of the folly’s original design. It makes a fine spot to contemplate the roaring, tumbling falls. This forest is home to the endangered and elusive red squirrels, and if your trip is in autumn you might see salmon head up the falls to their breeding grounds. A 35 min drive from Scone Palace
Next, we will take you to Pitlochry. One of the most famous Scottish small towns, Pitlochry still retains a lot of its Victorian character, and has a plethora of boutique cafes, restaurants and independent shops to explore.
A charming restaurant with a reasonable priced menu including Afternoon and High Teas. The main attraction of this stop is the opportunity to 'hand feed the Highland Coos', a true crowd pleaser.
We will take you to Tullibardine Distillery in the village of Blackford, Perthshire - the gateway to the Scottish Highlands, which has a long history of distilling dating back to 1488 when King James IV of Scotland stopped by the site. Tullibardine is one of a small number of distilleries in Scotland where all processes involved in the production of our single malt whisky take place on-site, bar malting. You can take part in a 45-minute visit to the distillery where you can explore exploration Tullibardine's whisky-making process from start to finish, and have the opportunity to taste two single malts.
Doune Castle is an important Scottish historic castle, which was also a filming location for popular TV and cinema pictures, such as Outlander, Game of Thrones, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It will be closed when we arrive, but its a nice stop for photos 20 mins drive from Tullibardine and 45 mins drive back to Glasgow
The National Wallace Monument is one of Scotland’s most distinctive landmarks. This stunning 220ft tower honours the famous Scottish warrior Sir William Wallace and was built in 1869 above the fields where the Battle of Stirling Bridge took place.

Sit back and enjoy the beauty of the trip. Scone palace was elegant. The chapel where they throned the kings/queens felt surreal.
Thanks Marcia for your nice feedback of our Scone Palace, Nature walk, Whisky and Pitlochry tour from Glasgow, its appreciated.
It's lovely. The staff was friendly and caring. The kitchen had much nice things to eat. The eating was high quality! Everything in the castle was clean and proper, even the toilets.
Great review and many thanks for taking the time out to write it.
I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. Our pre tour communication for timing was just great was our driver and Guide, George R. There was a glitch in our itinerary that I didn’t notice til our lunch stop. George could see it was important and was able to recommend figure do we could see Blacknest Castle, an Outlander location. I truly appreciated the extra touches. Our lunch stop included a feeding with Highlander coos, for which George had brought apples and carrots. Delightful! I appreciated his easy going manner, professionalism and charm. I will be back to Scotland and will definitely engage B2G Toyrs and ask for George. Many thanks for a perfect day.
We are so pleased you had a great experience with George. Sometimes things don't always go as planned, but our guides are always thinking about how to turn unforeseen events into a positive situation to ensure you always have a memorable time.
We loved this tour! George was AWESOME! He was incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very comfortable. We had a good amount of time at each stop on this tour, too, allowing us to really immerse ourselves in the culture and scenery, and were encouraged to take our time. We look forward to returning to Scotland and taking another tour with E2G Travel!
Great Feedback - Haste you back !!
Great day with Fiona our guide on the day. The Hermitage walk was amazing. The weather was kind, unlike the rest of my trip. Booking was easy as i had free day after work concluded
The Hermitage walk under some of the tallest trees in Scotland is amazing, we are grateful for your feedback and kind words for your guide Fiona
Martin our driver was very flexible with our day. The kids loved Scone Palace with its scavenger hunt and maze. We didn’t have time to go on the nature walk, but Martin showed us a tree that inspired William Shakespeare. He also took us the feed some highland cows and eat at a unique restaurant. Couldn’t be happier!
Thanks Judy, I really appreciate you leaving us such a nice review Safe travels back to the States
