Pickup is available from hotels and the airport in Addis Ababa. As this is a full-day trip to Debre Libanos Monastery, departure is early in the morning. Please be ready in your hotel lobby 10 minutes before pickup. For airport pickups from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, please share your flight details in advance. Your guide will meet you at the Zone 5 parking area. Timely departure is important to fully enjoy stops such as the Portuguese Bridge. - I had the pleasure to take this tour with the very capable tour guide Elias & it was one of the most enjoyable tours I've ever had. - The tour contains a very scenic road & during it, I listened to Elias's very interesting narration about Ethiopia's country side. - Enjoyed touring Debre Libanos Monastery, while listening to the history of the church from a kind & informative priest (sorry, forgot his name). - The Jamma river, the Portuguese bridge & the water falls were great addition to the tour. I really appreciated Elias providing support to me in climbing over the volcanic rocks. - After all it was very enjoyable tour, especially with Elias, the great tour guide Tip for viewers: Elias is an excellent photographer & he readily agrees to take tour photos for you
We has an excellent day out with Elias and Asi. We saw plentiful Gelada monkeys and a highly informative tour around the monastery. The Portuguese bridge and surrounds was very dramatic and is home to lots of monkeys. Elias and Asi were excellent company.
