Great experience, especially inviting the audience up for the Dance representing safe travels
The traditional dances were good. It was nice to see children among the performers and fun to be allowed to participate if you wanted. The explanation of the totem poles was interesting and it was great to meet a carver. The gift shop stocks a good range.
As frequently cruise travelers the thing we hate about cruises is cruise excursions where we wait around for the group. Love one and one tour guide. Very disappointed this excursion did not have the one and one experience. We were pawned off to tour guides brother, then the most awful tour guide and saxman heritage. He was 16 years and awful!! Lumber Jack show was great. Unfortunately very disappointed.
This was both informative and fun. Our guide at the Saxman Village was great! He was very knowledgeable. The Lumberjack show was very entertaining. I would highly recommend this combination.
Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear you enjoyed both the Saxman Village experience and the Lumberjack Show. It's wonderful to know your guide's knowledge helped make the cultural experience both informative and engaging. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and recommendation!
Our tour guide was awesome! The shows were wonderful. I would do it again. However, the meeting and transition from lumberjack show to Saxman Village was much to be desired. We had to hunt the representative down to get our tickets. We were told where to go instead of being taken to the lumberjack show. "Go to the stop sign" (there's 2) and turn left and it'll be on your right. Also, the representative wasn't out waiting after the lumberjack show as indicated. We looked all around and finally hooked up. They should be there with their sign when lumberjack show is ended. There are other tours with there signs, but ours was late getting ther.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the Lumberjack Show, Saxman Village, and your time with your guide. We're sorry to hear that the meeting and transition between experiences did not meet your expectations. Our records indicate that you checked in at Booth #6 at 7:42 AM for your 7:45 AM meeting time. Guests are provided with maps and directions to the 8:00 AM Lumberjack Show, which is approximately a 2–5 minute walk from our meeting location, allowing plenty of time to arrive before the performance begins. Following the show, which ended at 9:00 AM, our representative was in the designated meeting area and the group was loaded into the vehicle by 9:05 AM. The area outside the Lumberjack Show can become quite busy as multiple tours are gathering guests at the same time, and it can sometimes be easy to miss a representative at first glance. We understand how this may have caused some frustration. While we recognize that your experience did not meet your expectations, our team followed the published meeting instructions and operations ran smoothly and on schedule throughout the morning. We appreciate your comments and will continue looking for ways to improve communication and make the transition process as seamless as possible for future guests. Thank you again for sharing your experience.
The lumberjack show and Saxman Village was wonderful. Cape Fox organization, however, was much to be desired. We arrived where we were told and waited. No one came, so we asked and were told to go by the statues, which we did. Still no one showed. We asked information and was informed to go inside to booth 6. We did this also, and had to wait for the representative. She gave us our tickets and told us where to go. We had to find the lumberjack show on our own. The representative informed us she would be out front when the show was over. She wasn't. We looked around, went down the street, when we came back she was there. After she handed us off to our tour guide to go to Saxman Village everything went perfectly. The Cape Fox representative needs a representative to meet individuals like all the other tour companies. Also, they need to escort you to the lumberjack show. Not everyone is capable of figuring where things are at. I've never had this experience with any other company with Viator before. I've used Viator several times and this is the first complaint I've had.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed both the Lumberjack Show and your visit to Saxman Village, and that the remainder of your experience went smoothly once you met your guide. We're sorry to hear that the beginning of your day felt confusing. Our records show that you checked in with our team at Booth #6 at 7:42 AM for your 7:45 AM meeting time. Guests are provided with maps and directions to the Lumberjack Show, which begins at 8:00 AM and is approximately a 2–5 minute walk from our meeting location. This provides ample time to make the short walk, and our team is always happy to answer questions or provide additional assistance before guests depart.
