Great tour! Good food, great guide and lots of interesting information about Savannah - current and historical. We ended the tour with a honey tasting in a fun little honey shop.
Thanks for the love Darlene! Welcome to the food tour crew!
Great food tasting tour! We tried a variety of Southern favorites and ended with a honey tasting at a fun honey shop. Josh was a great guide. We not only tasted great food, Josh also gave us plenty of information and stories about Savannah history. Loved it!
This was our first food tour and it will not be our last! We lucked out and had Demi as our guide. She is an architecture major at SCAD. She provided us with such an in depth explanation of the historical buildings and the materials used - it was fascinating! Well worth your time. Bring water and a fan for those summer months.
It didn’t feel like a southern food tour. If I wanted British food I would go to the UK. SHE crab soup was authentic but the soup was lukewarm. Like it was pre-plated earlier than it should have been. Biscuits that we had first thing were super dense and not what you would expect for southern biscuits which are light and fluffy if done right. We have done a lot of food tours in different countries and cities and this was our least favorite.
Hey John! We're bummed that we didn't live up to the southern expectations. We're thankful that you took the time to leave feedback. Come try us again someday!
Guide was very knowledgeable, cordial and amusing. Learned a lot about the city’s history and culture in addition to sampling great food. A few sullen teens weren’t too thrilled with the jaunt but the rest of us did!
Hey Maureen! We are so glad (most) of y'all had fun! Please come back soon for more fun facts and tasty bites!
Well worth your time and money. All of the selected stops were beautiful, with thoughtfully chosen dishes for us to try. Our guide Demi was energetic, bright & funny. She has a deep well of knowledge regarding the food, history & architecture of the city.
Alison, DeMi is going to love reading this review! We think she is super cool, and we love that you had a good time hanging out with her. Thanks for spending your afternoon with us!
This was a great food tour. Cindy was a wonderful guide. The food we sampled was delicious and we learned some of the history of Savannah. Highly recommend.
Thanks Gina! Cindy is great, and we're so glad you had a good time sampling and strolling with her! Come back soon!
Great food and Demi was extremely knowledgeable about the area, history and architecture. I would highly recommend this tour.
Yay! We are so glad you had a good time with DeMi! She really knows her stuff!
About four years ago, we took this tour and it was absolutely incredible. Unfortunately, this time it was terrible. I would not recommend it to anyone. The food tasting has been moved to hotels instead of shops. The tour guide was extremely dull, lacking humor or enthusiasm; it was as dry as watching paint dry. Most of my friends, coworkers, and I spent the entire time on our cell phones. We were a group of eight. It was a complete waste of money. She discussed certain historical topics, but stayed on them too long, turning a three-hour tour into four hours and 15 minutes.
Hey Jacqueline, we are so sorry that the tour didn't live up to your expectations. We'll look into the length of the tour, and what happened. If you would like to talk about if further, please email info@savannahtasteexperience.com. Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback, we appreciate it.
Gail is a great tour guide. Plenty of stories in a casual relax atmosphere. Excellent food and beautiful venues all very different.
Thanks for hanging out with us! Come back soon for more stories and snacks!
