It is a long day but got to see lots of sights and experience the beautiful countryside of Georgia. Tskaltubo is an interesting place, the caves are spectacular, and the canyon/waterfalls quite beautiful. The meal at the farm/winery/hostel was wonderful as well. This trip is a great choice if there’s not enough time to plan a whole 2-3 day outing to the Kutaisi area, this is one of the only day trips I found and am very glad I did it! It turned into a private trip with my personable guide.
Absolutely brilliant day. Our guide Irakli was exceptional. Young, energetic, very knowledgeable guy with a great love for his amazing country. He made sure we had a really extensive look at the old Soviet spas, the natural beauty of the ared, and the best Georgian Megrelian lunch at a farm homestay. Even managed to keep his sense of humour when traffic extended the trip back to Tbilisi by a few hours. Will definitely return to travel with him again. Thanks Irakli. David and Anthony
I booked a group tour but was the only person who had signed up for that day so it was more like a private tour, which was really nice. The guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! He was willing to tailor the tour more to my interests. Being in Tbilisi, it was difficult to find a way to get to that region without any Georgian speaking skills or a car, so this tour was amazing!
The team made my day. I was supposed to be in a group tour but the others cancelled. Even though I was alone, they still made my tour worth it especially my tour guide Tato. He is trust worthy. Even though I was alone I feel secure with the entire tour. And I how he gave me backgrounds of the places we visited. I recommend them .
Wow what a Fantastic tour! We had another epic day tour with Irakli. We saw such a variety of things, from the beautiful canyons, to the abandoned spas, to wine tasting with a beautiful family and ate some of the best food we have had in Georgia. As per usual, Irakli gave us some interesting stories and history to go with the tour. He was also very flexible and accomodating with our wishes for the day and took us to places I don’t think other tours would go. I have many fabulous photos and lots of lovely memories. We hope to return one day and will no doubt contact Irakli if so. We love how easy going, and well organised his tours are. He is also extremely knowledgeable about his country and pleasure to be around. :-)
