Description
Santorini not only boasts of breathtaking views but produces a range of wines from 40 different indigenous grape varieties (though not all are cultivated). Famous for its Assyrtiko wine, the production process is rooted in the traditions of the island, with each winery offering a rich and storied history as well as a tasting experience. This tour takes you on a journey through the island that pairs picturesque views with exceptional quality wines. Wine cultivation on Santorini began with the Venetian occupation of the island; the Venetians adeptly understood that the mineral-rich volcanic soil of the island would yield the finest wines. You will tour 3 uniquely distinct wineries; we will travel across the island to experience the breadth of what Santorini has to offer in wine-making. Please note that depending on the availability of the wineries in the schedule one or more may change with Chatzidakis, Gavalas, Vassaltis and Karamolegos wineries.

Art Space Winery Musem Art Gallery is a unique Art Center within the pumice rock – carved chambers of an old winery located in Exo Gonia, Santorini and continues from the year 1999 until today to stand as a hospitable retreat for all those Greek and foreign artisans who share the same passion for creativity. In the 1861 old winery, representative works of art from the sphere of painting and sculpture are on display, offering visitors the opportunity to come close to contemporary Greek art and the course of artistic expression in Greece. What is more, Art Space Winery continues regularly the traditional winemaking production includes in its premises a contemporary winery offering renowned products of high quality.
One of the best wineries in Santorini, Estate Argyros offers a big variety of Santorini Wines. You will have the chance to taste 3 different type of wines.
Located in Megalochori, Venetsanos Winery has one of the best views on the island. Its the best spot to try local Santorinian Wine and see the sunset. The wine tasting includes 3 different type of wines.

The activity started off great, the Gaia wines were delicious (the tour guide at Gaia was a bit kooky, and the tour was just ok) but we were there on time and had plenty of time there. Where it really fell apart was at the third stop where we were taken to a different, and inferior, winery than was promoted when we paid for it. The wine was just ok and we were disappointed because we were looking forward to the promoted third stop. Overall, we felt a bit cheated. Also, you get more of a taxi than a wine guide. Overall 3.5 stars.

Dimitris took us on a wine tour today to 3 unique and amazing wineries! He picked us up from our hotel, gave us a historical background as we drove around the city, and selected 3 wonderful wineries. We took a wine tour with Dimitris and had a fabulous time. He took us to 3 very different wineries - a very traditional winery, a modern one, and one with very beautiful gardens. While we come from a wine producing region, Santorini methods and wine varieties are very different, and we enjoyed learning about the process and the products themselves. We samples 13 different wines. Dimitris also took some great pictures to help us remember the day.

This was a great afternoon in Santorini. Not only did we get to experience three very different wineries but learned so much about how the grapes are grown and the history of winemaking. Afterwards we were treated to a trip up to the Monastery with unbelievable views of the island and a quick visit of the grounds.

We had a wonderful time on our afternoon winery tour and tasting. Angelo picked 3 wineries that showed us very different styles, and gave us a real feel for both the island and the unique way they grow their grapes. He was both very professional and friendly, and I would recommend him to anyone going to Santorini.
The wine at Art Space was definitely the best. But we had a great experience at all 3 locations. The views at Ventesantos were amazing.
