Santorini: Standard Small-Group Catamaran Volcano, BBQ & Drinks

What a brilliant trip. We booked directly with Irene in Kamari and opted for the afternoon/sunset trip. The process was very easy, and we also took the option of a provided taxi, at €10 per person return to our hotel. Great value for money as public transport will take longer and saves you only €1.20 overall The taxi arrived on time, and we were dropped off in the port. Irene arrived and organised us as there were several taxis dropping people off. Payment was taken at this point, and we were then taken to the boats where Irene gave us all a comprehensive safety brief. She is a force of nature and spoke at least 5 languages to our group ensuring everyone understood. The trip itself was fantastic. A swim stop followed by a trip around Akroteri lighthouse and into the caldera. A second stop swimming in the sulphur sea from the volcano. A strange experience with warm currents. The trip culminates with more swimming, food and a move out to sea to watch the sunset where there were plenty of photo opportunities. The crew were fantastic, and the unlimited drinks were truly that and flowing freely. On the trip back into port the music ramped up and the whole trip were getting last pictures and enjoying the stunning views. The return taxis were waiting for us, and we were soon on our way back to the hotel to carry on our evening with people we had met on the trip. If you want a fantastic day out, I can’t recommend Ippokampos Sailing enough. If you are lucky enough to be in Kamari book directly with Irene who is just the most fantastic human.

We had an absolutely magical experience with Ippokampos Sailing, and I can recommend them with total confidence! From start to finish, the entire experience was flawless. ​The organization was impeccable, starting with a seamless and punctual transfer to and from our hotel. Once on board, we were thrilled to see how spacious and comfortable the tour felt. Unlike other operators that overcrowd their boats, they kept the group size perfectly balanced. We had plenty of room to relax, move around, and fully enjoy every single activity without ever feeling crowded. ​The catamaran itself was beautiful and impeccably maintained, and the crew was the definition of professional—incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming throughout the day. ​A very special thank you goes to Irene, whom we met on the promenade in Kamari. She went above and beyond to facilitate everything and set up this wonderful excursion for us. We had an amazing time doing this afternoon trip!!! Irene who we booked this with in Kamari was an excellent guide who provided all the key information and safety briefs in such great detail and in multiple languages! She even bought me a small present for my Birthday! The crew onboard the catamaran made the experience amazing! The captain got us in to all the good spots and so close to the different rock formations with excellent snorkelling and swimming spots! The crew on board gave us great information on the different spots helping us learn more. They made sure we were safe and having fun the entire time. Our drinks were never empty and the food was delicious! This was the absolute highlight of our holiday and we would do it again!

It was a wonderful trip, nice staff, good food, good stop with swimming, snorkeling and finishing sunset. Transfer worked perfectly! Good English, some guiding on the tour. Can warmly recommend.

Great experience! Nice small scale, nice crew and everything arranged to perfection. Also be able to sail and swim or snorkel nearby. Everything from A to Z well arranged!

This cruise, while pleasant, does not match the advertised description at all. We do not at all make the tour of the Caldera, point 14 of the description. A simple approach without seeing the crater. No sunset in Oia, but a few hundred meters from the departure port. We reported all this to Irene, who first responded that the captain decides the route based on the weather. Yesterday, the weather was beautiful and the sea calm. We also asked the captain, who replied that the route is the same every day and that he does not decide it (unless there is a safety issue, which was not the case yesterday). In short, we really got taken advantage of. There are other companies that offer a complete island circuit with a sunset in Oia at the same price. Go ahead, but not with Ippokampos.

Very disappointed. Irene promises a scenic cruise around the Caldera, but that is not the case. The captain of the boat confirmed to us that it was not planned. A round trip to the volcano that we do not see, and we see the sunset off Vychlada. In short, if you just want to eat, drink, and see the beaches in the south of the island, it is okay. For the Caldera and Oia, you need to book elsewhere.

Highly recommended, one of the best experiences!! Very complete, we went with my husband; whether as a couple or with family, it is a recommended outing for everyone! They provide towels, snorkeling gear, and dinner, as well as unlimited drinks, all very well taken care of, very professional. We visited different beaches and swam in the sea on two occasions. We went on our own to Vlychada Beach, and our outing was to watch the sunset. Without a doubt, a highly recommended experience; I share photos!

My friend and I were looking for a sailing experience while on our girls trip. We met Irene on the stroll in Kamari. She helped us book our tour and transport to the port. It was a perfect day in the boat! We did the morning sail and it was perfect for swimming and getting some sun! The crew was amazing, the BBQ lunch was so good and we had the best time! We had a wonderful time. The entire cruise was amazing, the sea was breathtakingly beautiful, and both the crew and the food were excellent. We traveled at a very reasonable price, and the whole trip was truly unforgettable for us.
