As soon as we pick you up from your hotel (or nearby) we will head to the picturesque village of Oia. Famous for having the best view of the sunset, Oia is a traditional village perched on a cliff. You will have the chance to stroll down its narrow stone-paved paths and enjoy some coffee somewhere overlooking the vast blue of the Aegean Sea. Leavin Oia behind us, we will move on to the Monastery of Profitis Ilias, where you will get a glimpse of the spiritual side of the island. the monastery was built by two monks in 1711 and features an exterior stone wall that makes it resemble a fortress. During that era, it was an important cultural and educational center as it also functioned as a school for several decades.

Part of tour will take us to one of the smaller, more traditional villages of the island. Some of the more popular choices include Pyrgos and Megalochori, two quintessentially Santorinian villages, where time seems to stand still. Get a taste of what its like to be a local by walking through whitewashed houses, taverns and shops, always gazing down at the blue sea.
Due to the island's proximity to the caldera, Santorini features unique beaches, the most prominent of which are the Black beach and the Red Beach. Made out of two successive beaches, the Black beach lies on the southeast coast of the island and is laid with black volcanic sand. It's red counterpart, is located near the village of Akrotiri, on the southernmost part of the island, at the end of a steep downhill path. Enclosed by huge red rocks and laid with volcanic pebbles, it is perhaps the most popular sight on the island.
This is a wait of ferrous rock approx 125 meters high which has eroded and left red sand. The Red Beach is arguably one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of Santorini. It is located only some steps away from the ancient site of Akrotiri.

We had a clean and comfortable van driven by Dimitris who also was our tour guide. He shared so much interesting knowledge about Santorini and took us to all of the must-see places. He shared local history and showed us amazing views around Santorini. We highly recommend!
My party of four enjoyed the half day driving tour of Santorini. We spent three days in Oia and scheduled this tour for our last partial day before flying out of Santorini in the evening. This is a great way to get a larger view of the island, including several pretty, smaller inland villages. Our driver, “Lefty”, was chock full of interesting information of the island’s history and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him.
Ignatious was our guide! He was awesome! We should have known better than to book for 2:00!! Our ship got in at 1, we thought an hour was sufficient to meet him…. No way. It took a long time to wait on the ship to be called to our tender boat. Then after getting off, you take a cable car way up to the city. By the time we met our guide it was 3.25!! Any other company would say sorry, you missed it! But he was great!! Showed us tons of things, the top of Santorini and the blue domes!! He even made us a reservation for a fabulous dinner!! Loved our day there!!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Nikos was helpful and informative and also very thoughtful. He customized our tour to exactly what we wanted to see and do. He is also a very good photographer and we have many professional quality pictures from our highlights tour of beautiful Santorini.
Don't miss it! Highly recommend this tour! Value for money. The driver is so kind and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time. Was absolutely incredible. Highly recommended it.

Fantasy Travel made our visit to Greece stress free. They took care of everything for us - transfers, hotels, boat tours, walking tours, flights, and ferries. We didn’t have to worry about anything - we were able to just relax, and enjoy the beauty and charm of Greece and all the lovely hospitality of her people.
