Ride a horse on a beautiful beach in the untouched nature in the south of the island! Starting at the stables in Megalochori, ride along the paths of the vineyards and see their traditional layout, and along the south trails that lead to the secluded Eros Beach. These paths were created by the great eruption, which formed the island. As you ride you will see small gorges and ravines carved into the volcanic rock and can marvel at the unique Santorini landscape. At the end of the route you reach Eros beach, a long black beach with impressive rock formation cliffs as a backdrop. Ride along the beach and then head to the top of the hill to enjoy the panoramic view of the beach and the trails. During the ride commemorative photos will be taken of you and your horse, capturing your memorable experiences at all the best places.

The ride was beautiful, but the horses were skinny with their ribs and spine visible through the skin.
The horse ride was pretty great. My wife and I were both novice riders, this was our first time on a horse and everything went pretty smoothly. The horses were well cared for, and were lovely. The guides were very kind, and took some great pictures. Great experience all the way around.

The staff were fantastic to deal with and very accomodating with rescheduling due to delays disembarking our cruise, we can’t thank them enough! The ride itself was brilliant, they cater to all experience levels and made us feel very comfortable. The horses were very well behaved and the experience was brilliant. Cuddles with Rolex the puppy before and after the ride were definitely a highlight! Thanks guys!
The best money spent whilst in Santorini! To save you all doing the research I did it for you - ‘Santorini Horse Riding’ is by far the best beach ride on the island and if done on an evening you get to watch the incredible sunset whilst riding along the beach. The ride also includes a stunning ride to the beach through high, rock sided valleys which was an experience by itself. Myself and my partner did the 1.5hr beach ride at €80 each. My partner is a beginner and I’m experienced and it suited both of us. My partner was lead-roped which calmed his nerves and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They also took lots of photos of us along the way. The horses are in great shape and well looked after. I’m still grinning ear to ear. It’s an absolute must!!!
We arrived at the stable and got to meet our guides. It was two brothers and one of the brothers wife. They were both very, very nice and accommodating. And they spoke English so that was very helpful. The horses that we got were very tame and very predictable and so lovely. So if you have no or limited riding experience you will not be disappointed and will feel very safe. The hosts took lots of pictures and were very friendly.
One of the most amazing experiences of our time in Santorini! Beautiful new stables, friendly horses and amazing riders and guides. Family owned and remarkable. Should not be missed. The views of the rock formations then the beach. Wonderful. Good for couples, friends and families!

Our two female guides led us through the charming traditional village of Megalochori, where the narrow streets and whitewashed houses felt like stepping into a postcard. From breathtaking cliffside views to the unforgettable ride across the island’s black sand beaches, every moment was perfectly curated and made us fall in love with the island.
