The excavations revealed one of the best-preserved ancient cities to this day with dense urban planning. In this guided tour walking around the 4000-year-old settlement, you will get an understanding of how the society was organized. We got there about 15 minutes early. Georgia arrived just a couple of minutes later, so we got an early start. She showed us things we would surely have missed if we were on our own and truly made the place come alive for us. The 2 hours seemed to fly by, and she was easily able to answer all of our questions. We definitely recommend Georgia to anyone visiting the Acrotiri site.
Our guide was knowledgeable. She answered all questions and updated us on the current historical theory of the ruins, island & people.
Our whole family really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and painted a vivid picture of what this community would have looked like. We definitely got a lot more out of the visit by having a tour guide. Would definitely recommend this tour. Not a lot of time is needed and it is very fascinating.
