Exceptional Layover Tour in Santiago with Ignacio!

We recently had a layover in Santiago and decided to book a tour with Ignacio—it was easily one of the best travel decisions we made. From start to finish, Ignacio was fantastic. He was incredibly flexible, which was a huge relief given the time constraints of a layover. He managed the schedule perfectly, ensuring we saw the highlights without any stress about getting back to the airport on time. Beyond just being a great guide, he was deeply knowledgeable about the city. We truly appreciated the clear, engaging explanations he provided throughout the tour; learning about the history of Santiago from someone so passionate and well-informed added so much depth to our experience. It was a very pleasant, relaxed, and informative way to explore the city. We cannot recommend Ignacio highly enough to anyone looking for a professional and friendly guide in Santiago. Thank you, Ignacio, for making our layover so memorable!

Santiago City Tour During a Long Layover – Highly Recommended

We had an 11-hour layover in Santiago and decided to take a city tour rather than spend the day at the airport. It was an excellent decision and a great way to make the most of the time between flights. The tour was well organised, and we were able to see many of Santiago's highlights, including the historic city centre, , , and viewpoints overlooking the city with the spectacular backdrop of the Andes Mountains. Our guide (Ignacio) was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided interesting insights into Chilean history, culture, and daily life. The pace was relaxed, allowing enough time for photos, a coffee break, and a chance to explore some local areas without feeling rushed. For anyone facing a long layover in Santiago, I would highly recommend leaving the airport and experiencing the city. It turned what could have been a long wait into one of the most enjoyable parts of the trip. Rating: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Book this tour now! You won’t be disappointed!

I had a long layover in Santiago, so I decided to book a tour to pass the time. I was traveling solo so I needed one that could accommodate one person rather than needing a group. I hit the jackpot when I booked City Trekking Guide. I had a fantastic time. Ignacio was such a great guide and a very lovely person. He was very clear in his communication prior to my arrival and he was so great throughout. Not only was he very knowledgeable about the city and showing me the sights, but I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations about the culture and social aspects. I would book him again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful layover tour of Santiago

If you have a 5 hour or longer layover at the Santiago airport you should definitely consider taking a tour with Ignacio. He is friendly, passionate about his country and city and communicates flawlessly in English. Ignacio met me in the lobby of the airport Holiday Inn and we enjoyed a full city tour after which he took me back to the hotel. He can accommodate any schedule and will tailor the tour to your preferences. In my case we went inside a lot of historic buildings and enjoyed both old and new buildings. He prefers to see the city by walking which allowed us to take our time. Everyone in the city was friendly and I never felt unsafe. I highly recommend taking this tour with Ignacio

Operator response

I also appreciate you mentioning the sense of safety and the friendliness of the people — that’s something I’m always proud to share with visitors. By the way, it makes me happy that you did the tour just on the same day i was organizing the wine event so you have taste some wines from our different wine valley regions! Thank you again for your trust and recommendation. I hope to welcome you back to Chile one day for more exploring. Warm regards, Ignacio Pérez Gamboa City Trekking Guide
