Meet your Local Expert in Praza de San Fiz de Solovio, where you can admire the omonymous church, built in XII Century on the ruins of a more ancient Romanesque church. The perfect way to discover Galician flavours.
Conchas - literally "shells" in English - are the symbol of Santiago de Compostela and of the famous Saint James Way, attracting millions of pilgrims every year. Great tour and guide. Lots of food and wine. Highly recommend this tour and Silvia
One of the best gastronomic experiences we've had in our entire Northern Spain road trip. Silvia was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable, and so patient and kind with our questions about Galicia. Best way to end our vacation. Thank you Silvia, so very much.
The experience was lovely! Our guide, Sylvia, was charming and so knowledgeable. We had lots of questions about the history of Galicia and the Camino she was able to answer. Of course, she also told us about the wonderful Galician tapas specialties. Sylvia made some excellent choices of eating establishments and delicious choices of food and wine. We loved that she had arranged for a special meal lace to open even though they were normally closed on Mondays. Awesome evening!!
Our guide, Sylvia, was waiting for us as we found our way to the meeting point. She was not only a delightful young lady, but also extremely knowledgeable about the history of Galicia and Spain, overall. Of course, she talked to us about food and wine, and she made perfect choices in locations and food selections for us. She even arranged to have a place opened for us, although it’s normally closed on Mondays! What a delightful experience, one I will remember for a long time!
The food and drink was great, but what really made the tour fantastic was our guide, Silvia! Not only was she very knowledgeable about the history and region, but she was very friendly and easy going. It felt like a fun trip with family all around. We had another family along as well that made the experience even better! Highly recommend!
Silva was amazing. Such an enjoyable time together and she was very knowledgeable about the food and history of the area. Highly recommend her and this tour if you want to enjoy the local culture.
Silvia was amazing. Great tour and local knowledge. Many thanks
Silvia was a great guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. She took us to several excellent bars and restaurants around Santiago de Compostela, and explained the food, drink and Galician culture. We had a great time with her. Highly recommend her tour!
Want to know about Galician food and the history of the region? This is the tour for you. Our personable and knowledgeable guide, Silvia, toured us around the old city of Santiago de Compestela, going thru major squares, streets and tiny alleys while giving us a brief and colorful history, along the way we stopped a some well chosen restaurants that featured Galacian foods of different types. Never hurried plenty of time to ask most any question, Silvia was always on point. Learned a lot, tasted a lot and really enjoyed the tour.
We had Sylvia as the main tour guides and Natalie who was training. We had a great time. Sylvia was very personable and knowledgeable and provided both personal and historical information regarding the different foods we tried. All the bars and restaurants we visited were excellent. Both Sylvia and Natalie were very kind patient and open. We had great conversations throughout the tour. We would highly recommend the tour and especially Sylvia and Natalie. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.
