This tour commences at 6:am in Durban. Begin the drive from Durban along the N3 highway and travel past Pietermaritzburg. Travel through the Natal Midlands, admiring the scenery until you reach the town of Underberg. In Underberg you will be transfered into a 4 x 4 vehicle. Sani Pass, is a World Heritage, a steep pass rising 9,429-feet above sea level. Go up a gravel winding pass that is higher and steeper and much tougher than any in Southern Africa. The Pass offers the most exceptional views. As the altitude increases, the road becomes narrower and more treacherous. All signs of human habitation disappear as you come face to face with the vast, desolate beauty of the Drakensberg Mountains. In Lesotho you also get to visit a traditional Sotho village and experience first hand the rural Sotho life. Enjoy lunch and toast to a drink at the highest pub in Africa.

We set off on a beautiful tour, the Sani Pass and Lesotho Full Day 4 x 4 Tour From Durban. Stunning scenery and views as we went up the pass. Very nice tour
Very nice experience...def worth the money...only reason why it is not a 5 is the vehicle that came to pick us up was not up to standard.
Excellent trip. Not only are the views breath taking, the cultural experience at the top is well worth the journey. You’ll meet local villagers and learn their culture. You also get to have lunch and a drink at the highest pub in Africa. Check the weather. It can be cool at the top!
This trip was absolutely amazing. We started off with a pick up from the hotel to underberg and our driver was on time and lovely. We then got transferred to the SUV and our guide, Peter, was super friendly, funny and engaging. The views are absolutely amazing and you stop along the way to get amazing shots of the Drakensburg mountain range. Crossing the border into Lesotho was also seamless and Peter handled all the admin. Once in Lesotho, we went to a local Sotho village, tasted beer and had some delicious bread. We ended the day at the Pub with delicious food. Would definitely recommend.
