Description

Typical architecture of the village houses. The terraced farmland which are mostly green. The spectacular view of Langtang area is visible from the ridge if the weather is good. Panauti is the medieval town and one of the candidate for world heritage site by UNESCO. The famous temples of Panauti include Indreshwor Temple which date back to 16th century. The confluence of the river is an active cremation ground for local villagers. Panauti also considered earthquake proof town. Panauti houses a small museum with ancient utensils, some old sculptures and some old ritual pots.
