This popular guided experience provides you the opportunity to experience the district’s popular east side craft breweries while learning about the city’s tumultuous history of prohibition in Sanford, FL. Tour is guided by an expert BJCP Certified Beer Judge. Savor a curated selection of beers from Sanford’s award-winning breweries and talk shop with our registered Beer Nerd. Plus our tours are kept to minimum group size to make your experience engaging and personable. Learn about and sample beer from three revered establishments in the district; Celery City Craft, Sanford Brewing Company, and Wops Hops Brewing Company & Kitchen. This 90-minute walking tour starts at one section of town and walks to another, so plan accordingly.

Start the tour off at Sanford Homebrew Shop -serving the homebrew community for over 10 years.
Locally owned & operated 18 bbl craft brewery with taproom and gastropub. Taste the freshness of locally sourced ingredients.
Wop's Hops Brewing Co. & Kitchen is Sanford's first microbrewery. Enjoy fresh Ales, wine, craft sodas, and Italian style food. Dog-friendly beer garden.

Took my dad on this tour for Father’s Day. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of craft beer and the local craft beer scene. I’m not a beer drinker myself but was pleasantly surprised and found myself enjoying the selections offered.

What a great experience with Gary as our guide at Community Brewhouse. Not only did we learn about the beer brewing process, but also the history of Sanford's brewers. I really enjoyed the Squirrel Chaser, very light and fresh and Wop's Hops Brewing the Ode to Joy, very smooth with a hint of coconut. I highly recommend this tour.

Gary was an incredible, knowledgeable guide! Answered our questions and made the experience very interactive! It’s clear how engrained he was with the Sanford community and business owner community, and he had friends whenever we went.

Gary was full of information on craft brewing in Sanford and the history of it. He was extremely knowledgeable in answering our questions.
Tour was canceled FIVE MINUTES before it was due to start. Woman who called me sounded extremely nonchalant about canceling the tour even after I told her that I was pulling into DT Sanford. I understand that they need a minimum amount of people to join, but you'd expect them to give patrons enough notice if they do decide to cancel. I wasted my time and gas. Waiting on my refund.
