Itinerary
Start your Redwoods and Wine Country adventure with a convenient pickup from your San Francisco hotel. Settle in as your journey begins with a scenic drive through the city’s vibrant neighborhoods, passing historic landmarks and crossing the Golden Gate Bridge.
Step into the peaceful wonder of Muir Woods, a forest sanctuary just north of San Francisco where time seems to slow down. You'll have one hour to explore shaded trails beneath the tallest trees on Earth—ancient coastal redwoods, some over 1,000 years old and 250 feet tall. Often wrapped in cool, misty fog from the nearby Pacific, the forest offers a quiet escape filled with rustling leaves and birdsong. It’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature and experience one of California’s most magical landscapes.
Begin your wine tasting adventure in Napa, the world-renowned region known for its exceptional wines, scenic vineyards, and rich winemaking heritage.
Begin your wine country experience at Ru Vango Winery in Napa, where a scenic vineyard tour leads into your first tasting of 4 local wines. Surrounded by rolling hills, curated artwork, and sweeping vineyard views, enjoy elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and bold reds in a serene, gallery-style setting.
Travel into Sonoma Valley, the birthplace of California’s wine industry, known for its charming countryside, historic towns, and world-class vineyards. With its laid-back feel and sun-drenched rolling hills, this scenic region offers a more intimate wine country experience as you make your way to the next tasting.
Sonoma Plaza is the historic heart of Sonoma Valley and a charming stop on your tour. It's surrounded by boutique shops, wine tasting rooms, and a variety of restaurants—ranging from casual cafés to gourmet, farm-to-table spots—making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy lunch. As you stroll through the square, you’ll see landmarks like Sonoma City Hall, the Sonoma Barracks, and the site of the Bear Flag Revolt, offering a glimpse into California’s history. For something extra special, you can upgrade to a three-course food and wine pairing at a local restaurant, where seasonal dishes are expertly matched with local wines—a delicious way to experience the region’s culinary scene.
Continue to your second wine tasting at Mayo Family Winery, a welcoming, family-owned boutique winery nestled in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Known for its small-batch, single-vineyard wines, Mayo offers a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and an educational tasting experience. You’ll sample a diverse selection of varietals—such as Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Gewürztraminer, and Grenache—each crafted with care and full of local character.
Your third wine tasting takes place at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, a Tuscan-inspired estate in Sonoma Valley. Founded to honor Valeriano Jacuzzi, the winery blends Italian heritage with California winemaking. Stroll the picturesque grounds and sample a flight of Italian-style wines like Sangiovese and Barbera. Don't miss the complimentary olive oil tasting at The Olive Press, where you can try award-winning extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars. With its rich history, beautiful architecture, and artisanal offerings, Jacuzzi Family Vineyards offers a memorable finale to your wine country journey.
On your way back, cross the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and pause for a photo stop at the Golden Gate North Vista Point. From here, enjoy breathtaking views of the bridge, Alcatraz Island, and the sweeping San Francisco skyline.
You'll be dropped off at your original pickup location, ending your day full of natural beauty, rich history, and world-class wine on a high note. It’s the perfect finish to a truly unforgettable California experience.

Really fun day. Our tour guide, Kevin, was very knowledgeable about San Francisco and the surrounding area. He put a personal touch into our day. The olive oils and balsamic vinegars at Jacuzzi Winery were fantastic.
Thank you for choosing to tour with us and for sharing your experience! We're so pleased you enjoyed your day in Muir Woods with Kevin. We hope to see you again on another adventure! 🥰
We had a blast on the Muir Woods and wine tour! Dustin was a great tour guide and provided excellent information about each stop. The tour group wasn’t huge (~30 people), which made it really nice to meet other tourists and ask questions. The wineries were all fantastic and the time at Muir Woods was awesome. Definitely worth every penny and a great way to learn more about California’s wine country!
Thanks for your kind feedback! We're thrilled you had a great time exploring Muir Woods and wine country with Dustin. We'll be sure to pass along your compliments. We hope to welcome you back soon! 😊
Great tour and fun, educational guide! Definitely recommend 🍷
We truly appreciate your great feedback. Thank you for being part of the adventure!
Loved the experience, our guide Randell was awesome, fun, and knowledgeable! The wine was great too :)
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We’re delighted that you enjoyed your Yosemite tour and that Randall contributed to such a positive and memorable day. 🥰
Our tour guide was great, everything was on time, and the group was lovely. However, two of the vineyards were largely indoors (with one being in a town and not on a vineyard at all). The other was outside but they unfortunately had to cut down a lot of their vines recently so the views were not as nice as they could have been. We couldn’t visit jacuzzi as the driver found out on the day that they had a wedding. I was hoping for more picturesque views at at least one of the vineyards but don’t feel like we got this. I also paid for the gourmet lunch which I don’t think was worth doing - others in the group that didn’t pay for this went to a different restaurant in the town that was nicer and cheaper. Overall a good trip, but could be made better!
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your guide, that everything ran on schedule, and that you had a great group to travel with. We're sorry that the winery experience didn't fully meet your expectations. Unfortunately, the last-minute closure of Jacuzzi Winery due to a private event required an unexpected itinerary change, and we understand how disappointing that was, especially if you were hoping for more scenic vineyard views. We also appreciate your comments regarding the gourmet lunch option and will share your feedback with our team as we continue to evaluate our partners and offerings. Thank you again for your thoughtful suggestions. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back on another tour in the future.
Keith was an amazing driver and tour guide. 5 stars for Keith. Two of the wineries were very enjoyable and the guides were friendly and informative. A shout out to Mayo and Jacuzzi wineries. Again 5 stars. While we sampled 3 wines at the RuVango winery the guide there did not give us any information and seemed like he just wanted to give the samples and have us leave. I’d suggest finding a different winery. No stars for RuVango experience.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're delighted to hear that Keith made your day so enjoyable and that you had such a positive experience at Mayo and Jacuzzi wineries. We'll be sure to share your kind words with Keith—they'll mean a great deal to him. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding your visit to RuVango. We're sorry that the tasting there didn't provide the informative and welcoming experience you were expecting. Your comments have been noted and will be shared with our team as we continually evaluate our winery partners and work to improve the overall experience for our guests. Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to welcome you on another tour in the future.
Had a fabulous day. Muir woods was lovely, we arrived early so very few people there, that made the experience even better. Visited 3 wineries all very good and each quite different cellar doors. Rosemary at Mayo Family Winery was exceptional, great knowledge and easy to talk to. The time at each place was just right in our opinion. Glenda our tour guide was friendly and chatty, we shared the tour with a bunch of lovely people. The only negative was the air conditioning on the bus didn’t work so it was uncomfortable at times.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed Muir Woods, the wineries, and Glenda's friendly company throughout the day. We're also glad the timing at each stop felt just right. We apologize for the issue with the bus air conditioning and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we hope to welcome you on another tour soon! 😊
Randal was very knowledgeable about the trees and the wine country we went through. He was also very helpful about the different choices of restaurants where we could go for lunch. The one that we ate at that was one of his recommendations was excellent.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback and for recommending Randall! We're delighted to hear they helped make your tour such an enjoyable experience. We'll be sure to share your kind words with him Mark!
We had a wonderful day touring with our guide Glenda who was very knowledgeable of the area and interacted well with the group plus managed to keep us all on time. The 3 wineries and lunch were very lovely. The only downside was the fact that when we booked, we were under the impression that Muir Woods entry was included but unfortunately it wasn't. Looking back at booking the tour there was no option to select the gourmet lunch and Muir Woods entry which is why we assumed it was included.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad to hear you had an enjoyable day with Glenda and that you enjoyed the wineries and lunch. We'll be sure to share your kind words with Glenda—she'll be delighted to hear them. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the Muir Woods admission. We're sorry for any confusion about what was included with your booking. We understand how that could have been misleading, and we'll share your comments with our team as we continue to improve the clarity of our booking information. Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to welcome you on another tour in the future.
Randall was amazing. So was lady who answered the phone when we called. Not a computer. A real human. Don’t use anywhere else. This company is great
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Your feedback is greatly appreciated! We'll be sure to share your kind words with him and the team. 😊
