San Francisco’s only Full city 2 Day Hop on Hop off Bus tour

Easy to get on and off on stops you choose. One suggestion is to mark the stops on the sidewalk/street for passengers getting on from a different stop than they exited from.

This is the most scathing review I have ever written. I was very unsatisfied with the experience. 1) The merchant website says the stops are clearly marked. They weren't. We wasted 45 minutes trying to find the first stop. 2) The driver went way too fast on the Golden Gate Bridge, causing unsafe conditions for those of us in the open air seats, no seat belts. I white knucked the whole way. 3) The driver stopped at Golden Gate Park and we stood up to get off but there were people in our way, going back upstairs and people rushing inside and we couldn't get off. The driver did not even wait for every one to be seated before he took off, again, unsafe. 4) There were two more stops within Golden Gate and we thought we could get off at The Japanese Garden but he went straight to Haight and Ashbury. We had to take an Uber back there which cost us $8usd 5) We waited 45 minutes for the return shuttle at the Golden Gate entrance and finally took a city bus , another $7 usd. 6) The website implies one can do all the stops in the same day which is impossible. 7) I bought these through GroupOn and they charged me in USD when I should have been CAD. 8) I would have gotten a better price if I had booked directly. 9) I asked for a refund through GroupOn and the vendor's reply to them/me was : We reached out to the merchant on your behalf, and they confirmed that you attended the tour. As a result, they have declined your refund request. We understand this may not be the outcome you were hoping for. However, based on the information provided by the merchant and after careful review, we’re unable to process your refund request. I will be submitting this review in as many websites as I can find and will also be canceling my GroupOn account. I paid well over $50 USD and now HopOn has this advertised for $21. Scam.

We started late in the day and first few stops were lovely. Then after waiting at one of the stops for the last bus of the day the bus raced past us and didn’t even slow down. We were stranded and did not see half of the tour. Our day was ruined, money wasted and we even had to pay for a taxi to get back to our car. If there is another option Do Not take this tour.

Was a wonderful way to see the city and get around. Driver/guide, was very informative and kept us entertained.

The buses were old/uncomfortable. They skipped many stops. One of the drivers was very obnoxious/inappropriate.

Absolute fiasco. This company advertises they are the only ones to visit the Golden gate park and painted ladies and have live guides. Except they closed the stops inside Golden gate park without telling anyone, even online maps show the stops inside the park and we wasted 2 hours and a taxi ride to get back to Union square. Manager said oh yeah we don’t stop there any more, lots of customers complain. So we didn’t have time to hop off anywhere, and the map is deceptive it doesn’t go past the painted ladies but 2 blocks away. Some but not all buses have a live guide, most just have recorded commentary and the wind and engine noise means you can’t hear it anyway. The buses were terrible, old and shabby. Big bus looked like a much better option although their route is slightly different.

I have never seen such a rude driver! The guy simply yells at everyone and even yelled at and pushed an employee from the same company he works for! Seriously! It was a horrible experience. The driver was very lucky that nobody did anything, because he really deserved it! I will simply never go near this company again.

Dana was great. We road on the top and could hear him very well and was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this trip.

I had a good experience discovering SF with City Sightseeing. Definitely I’m gonna back. And I could know the famous house in Alamo Square.
