Itinerary

Pass by

This one-block plaza and surrounding area is one of the largest collections of department stores, upscale boutiques, gift shops, art galleries, and beauty salons in the United States, making Union Square a major tourist destination and a vital, cosmopolitan gathering place in downtown San Francisco.

Pass by

The Palace of Fine Arts, built in the Beaux-Arts architectural style for the 1915 World's Fair, has been seen in films such as Vertigo (1958), Time After Time (1979), The Room (2003), and Twisted (2004). It also served as the backdrop for set pieces in So I Married An Axe Murderer (1993) and The Rock (1996).

15 min

We will visit Fort Point at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. We believe this location offers the most beautiful and comprehensive view of this majestic bridge. You'll also be able to walk in the footsteps of actors such as Jimmy Stewart, Kim Novak, Mel Brooks, Humphrey Bogart, Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner.

Pass by

Lombard Street is known for the one-way block on Russian Hill between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets, where eight sharp turns are said to make it the most crooked street in the world. We'll tell you on the tour why it's not even the crookedest street in San Francisco!

Pass by

North Beach, a buzzy neighborhood steeped in Italian heritage, draws locals and tourists to its checked-tablecloth trattorias, coffee shops and retro-flavored bars. The spirit of the Beat Generation can be felt at the storied City Lights bookstore and the memorabilia-filled Vesuvio Cafe bar. In Telegraph Hill the Filbert Steps offer a scenic hike to the iconic Coit Tower, with WPA-era murals and panoramic views

Pass by

Once home to the mansions of the Big Four railroad barons, Nob Hill retains a sense of wealth and privilege. Some of the city’s swankiest hotels are here, as are the ornate, Gothic-style Grace Cathedral and charming Huntington Park. Steep streets are dotted with restaurants and nightspots like the Top of the Mark lounge, with its 360-degree views. The Cable Car Museum exhibits antique cars alongside live machinery

Pass by

The Transamerica Pyramid at 600 Montgomery Street between Clay and Washington Streets in the Financial District of San Francisco, California, United States, is a 48-story futurist building and the second-tallest skyscraper in the San Francisco skyline.

5 min

This is our meeting point right along the Bay's edge. Just a flat 5-10 minute walk from Fisherman's Wharf's famous Pier 39

10 min

Visit the 2nd most photographed location in San Francisco while checking out the park where the Tanner family had its picnic in Full House. The view of the Victorian-era Painted Ladies juxtaposed against the beautiful San Francisco skyline is not to be missed

Best movie tour of the city

The tour was very thorough and a great way to start our vacation to see the spots around the city and gather information. Wylie was awesome and provided a lot of details. Would highly recommend the tour.

Superb tour

Excellent tour. 3 hours long so it's well worth the money. Bryan is very knowledgeable on everything to do with movies filmed in San Francisco. A number of stops are made, where possible, so you can take photos. And restroom breaks too! I would suggest doing this tour at the very start of your holiday as it'll go through areas that you'll wanna revisit in your own time. This tour is a must.

Movie tour is good

If you are a real movie buff you will love this trip. I don’t watch many movies so diidnt know much but it didn’t matter because they play the movie clip at the same time as passing the location by.

Wow!!

Wiley was amazing! I’m not really a fan of bus tours and much prefer walking, so I was a little worried that I would dislike this tour. Wiley made all the difference though! He was a really fun and informative guide. He began our tour by asking everyone what sights they wanted to see and catered the tour to their interests. I’m a huge Vertigo fan and we got to see some awesome stops! We went all over the city and got to see some really beautiful sights. The only negative was that it was so foggy we couldn’t see the Golden Gate Bridge, but if Wiley could control the weather, he would’ve done something about it! Great guide for a great tour, even if he wouldn’t tell me his all time favorite movie. Very excited to watch Moon with my girlfriend! Thanks Wiley!

San Francisco & Movie locations tour

Fantastic tour of so many places where famous movies were filmed. Very enthusiastic, friendly and clearly knowledgeable guide - Wylie. Managed to drive us around, give a running commentary, answer questions and play/pause the video as we passed the locations. Great day out - thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fantastic movie tour of SF

My family (wife, 20yo, and 16yo) had a blast on this intimate tour of San Francisco. There was a video playing inside the van showing movie clips of the actual places where the filming took place as you drive by. Bryan (our guide and “heroic” driver, aka safe and secure) narrated the whole time, answered questions, and shared extra interesting info about the places visited, not just the movie clips. So we learned a lot about the city than just movie locations. He also stopped a few times at larger points of interest for photos and to stretch our legs on this 3-hr tour. Highly recommended!
