Tour operator didn’t show up…so a one star is unnecessarily generous. We tried to call and number was no longer valid. Horrible way to spend my one day in Samarkand. On a good note, I appreciate the customer service from Viator who answered my call with a human and began the process of severing their connection with Viator and refunding my money.
Our guide, Ruxshona, was excellent. We managed to see all the main highlights of the city and for each we had a really clear and exhaustive explanation. She indicated a lovely restaurant and helped us to find the exact souvenirs we wanted to. Thank you! :) I recommend this activity 100%
Our guide Farzin might be one of the best tour guides we've ever had, anywhere. Not only did we get an in depth history of Samarkand, he also took us to experience delicious food (we certainly wouldn't have found it on our own) and helped us do souvenir shopping fitting our budget. He had a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness. Very accommodating to our pace and energy levels. This was a perfect way to get introduced to Samarkand by a fellow travel enthusiast. I can't recommend this tour enough.
My group enjoyed the evening walk. The guide spoke well & informative. Questions asked are answered respectively. Highly recommended.
A great tour with knowledgeable and friendly guide. I highly recommend this tour. The guide was very accommodating.
We thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour. The tour guide, Islom, was very professional and knowledgeable- he met us promptly at the meeting point, gave us a thorough overview of the city and history at the beginning and as we went through the various sites. He gave us information at the end of the tour on other sites we could visit the following day, and was also proactive in pointing out good photo points too! The tour took about 5 hours, including a short lunch break, and was a very effective and efficient way to see the main sights of this beautiful city.
We had a very nice time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and took us around for almost the entire day. We had a bit of hiccup at the beginning as our guide didn’t have our phone number so we spend 15 min trying to reach him and the tour organizer out, but eventually all good. Samarkand is very nice, easy to reach from Tashkent so we founded more convenient to get a tour guide directly there rather than having the all tour organized from Tashkent. we had a great time, definitely a city to visit.
Amin was an incredible tour guide, we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our day with him. His knowledge of the city is brilliant and he is such a lovely character. I’d recommend him to anyone, you’ll have a wonderful day.
