Akmal was an excellent guide, who showed us the main sights and worked around our own preferences, for example also spending some time in the old Jewish Quarter. Having his own car made sight-seeing in the heat a lot easier. Like with any guide, help your guide to help you by setting out any personal preferences (for example, when you want to take a break, types of food, etc) so that (s)he can factor that in to their planning of your day.
