In the morning, after pickup from your hotel, we’re setting off from Tashkent train station. After 2,5 hours we’re arriving in Samarkand by the high speed train Afrosiyob.
Immerse yourself in the jaw dropping history. Here we’ll learn who was Ulugbek, when he lived and why he’s such an important figure in Uzbekistan.
Visiting the antique mosque of tremendous sizes. Here we’ll learn a romantic love story of Bibi Khanym and her husband and how it gave life to such an amazing architectural construction.
Educate yourself among the great scientists of Uzbekistan history. Here we are going to learn a lot about the incredible astronomy techniques of the past that fascinate even today. Lunch time in one of the local restaurants.
Enjoy the Uzbek authenticity at the legendary local market. Here we are going to walk through numerous stalls and do a little bit of traditional shopping. Tasting and bargaining welcomed!
Visiting the magnificent ancient universities of Samarkand. Here we are going to explore this spectacular educational complex of the past and have a cup of coffee on charming ancient balconies. After such an informative and lovely day we are heading back to Tashkent by the same high speed train. Arrival at Tashkent train station. Transfer back to your hotel. End of the tour. This was a great one day tour of Samarkand's sights for our family. We were picked up at our AirBnB apartment in Tashkent and escorted to the train station for the two hour train ride. At the station in Samarkand we met our guide for the day and he drove us to each of the wonderful locations to see in the city. He was a fountain of historical knowledge of city and each of the sights we visited during the day. We also had time for lunch consisting of some of the best Plov we've ever had. He said it was a Samarkand Plov. At the end of the day, we returned to Tashkent and were escorted back to our apartment. I would highly recommend this tour if you have an extra day(or plan the day) during you stay in Tashkent. It was one of the highlights of our trip while we were passing through the region on our way to Kazakhstan. Having a personal guide for the day was so very nice, because we felt we learned so much more than a group tour and Ventura Tours were very communicative and timely. Choose this tour and have a great time in Samarkand!
