Salzburg Music, Myths and Baroque Beauty Self-Guided Walking Tour

Description
Mozart composed his first piece at five. A prince-archbishop built a palace for his secret mistress. And during a siege, Salzburgers repainted one bull over and over to trick an entire army. This audio walking tour takes you through such real stories behind Salzburg’s most beautiful streets. Starting at Mozart’s Residence, you’ll follow a carefully mapped route through baroque squares, medieval lanes, and Sound of Music filming locations – including the garden where "Do-Re-Mi" was shot and the stage where the Von Trapps performed their final concert. Along the way, hear about Europe’s oldest restaurant, visit a cemetery that inspired a Hollywood set, and discover why locals call themselves "bull washers." No schedules, no waiting for groups – just press play and walk. The app provides audio commentary, maps and photos at every stop. Available in 9 languages. Works offline. Start anytime and take as long as you like.

We werre hesitant to try one of these apps, but we really enjoyed it! We had earphones which I think is essential for listening while walking around a busy city. Was great to use the app to guide where we needed to walk and we enjoyed the description of each place. Will be doing the self guided tours again!
Thank you for the wonderful feedback. We're delighted the experience exceeded your expectations.
Absolutely recommendable – super flexible! > > I took a mobile-guided tour through Salzburg yesterday and I am absolutely thrilled! I had used this app once before in Luxembourg, and it was another great experience. > > The best part is the GPS map: You can see exactly where you are at all times and where to go next – and it even works abroad without a mobile connection! The descriptions with the images are very helpful, and the voice of the narrator is very pleasant. > I particularly appreciate the flexibility: You can start the tour at any point you like. In Salzburg, we even started "backwards" because we arrived by bus at a different location – that was not a problem at all! The handling is super easy. A real highlight for any city stroll! ✨
Vielen Dank für Ihr großartiges Feedback. Es freut uns besonders, dass Sie die Tour so flexibel nutzen konnten und bereits mehrfach positive Erfahrungen mit unseren Touren gemacht haben.
A very comprehensive guide. Well-documented comments. Orient well on the map. Photos on the map help a lot to find the monuments The best thing is that you can stop and resume the guide whenever you want I'll hire her back for other cities
¡Muchas gracias! Nos alegra que la guía te haya resultado completa y fácil de seguir. Será un placer acompañarte en otras ciudades.
Was a great DIY tour. Would allow around 4 hours if you plan to shop, look and eat in between. Would also start earlier in the day as we didn’t leave until 2pm and by the time we arrived at some locations they were closed. Overall a great way to start your trip in Salzburg.
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the DIY tour and found it a great way to start your time in Salzburg. Your tip about starting earlier is very helpful. We hope to welcome you on another tour soon.
Interesting tour, entertaining, easy to find and use. It took us about 3 hours with breaks without going in at one station. Map function is useful, possibly output a sound when the next stop is reached.
Vielen Dank für Ihr positives Feedback! Es freut uns sehr, dass Ihnen die Tour gefallen hat und Sie die Kartenfunktion nützlich fanden. Not having taken a paper travel guide, I opted for this "audio-guided" tour my very interesting faith. The app is very easy to install and the code provided by email allows you to download the correct visit. The voice announces from the beginning that it is an AI, which explains the amusing pronunciation of certain words (notably abbey pronounced bee!). Apart from that, the information provided was very interesting, with the map showing you where to find the next step and the photo provided to check that you are in the right place before launching the audio. I took advantage of having headphones to enhance my visit by listening to Mozart on my music app by going from one stop to another, maybe you could add some directly in your app, it seems relevant to me for a city like Salzburg right? It actually took me about 2 hours to complete the course very quietly (it was 32°). The only drawback was that the audio stopped frequently as soon as the app was no longer in the foreground, for example when the camera was launched (perhaps a concern of cache size to increase?). PS yes, my photo was taken in a cemetery that is well part of the tour route.
