Description

A proposal to visit majestic landscapes, travel to the past and enjoy the tranquility that a vallisto town, like Cachi, can offer us. You will travel along scenic routes (Quebrada de Escoipe and Cuesta del Obispo) that together with the charming destination, form a captivating combo. You will travel to a magical town located in the Northwest of the Calchaquíes Valleys of Salta, surrounded by imposing mountains, snow-capped peaks, plateaus and with colonial architecture that will take you back in time. But not only the destination will amaze you, the route through different national and provincial routes is one of the most beautiful in Argentina. You will experience contrasts of landscapes and climates: you will pass from the humid and exuberant jungles of the Yungas to the arid, cold and inhospitable Puna. During the ascent you will be able to enjoy spectacular views, imposing hills and the majestic condor that watches over you from the sky.

Cachi from Salta depart in clear weather

Breathtaking landscape worth a visit a guide who knows a maximum and makes you share it would be a plus.. Try to schedule a solar day or at least without rain if not on the heights it is obviously much more chilly and ... we can distinguish nothing on the road in yaws...

Loved it.

I did not make the excursion, but stayed two nights at the Hosteria del ACA, a place with a beautiful environment. I would return to tour the surrounding area and some hike to the Nevado.

Amazing, but if you have vertigo...

The route is amazing, but the mountain road is full of curves, it is winding, and you have to know it well. I recommend going with a driver who knows you, since renting a car and driving, whoever drives misses the whole landscape and is not an easy road.

Travel enjoying

I recommend it, for the first time, if you have little time and also send q repeats, as you go through the cutest places, chosen, with stops for photos or eating, where you know you will be well served. If you don’t already have everything organized you risk hiring a little on each side which wastes a lot of time. On the other hand you have to have reference to who you are going with, the roads, routes are not easy, the landscapes are all very cute, but the safety of whoever drives is very important, such as the condition of the units. It is important that the agreement is fulfilled as regards destinations.
