Terrific sleigh ride. Provided warm blankets, informative about area, played Christmas music along the route.
The ride was disappointing and boring. The scenery was of regular homes and a few older, historic homes but nothing noteworthy. We had a short pass by the bay, but nothing that was scenic or pretty. The carriage driver was nice, but she dominated the conversation, trying to entertain us with trivia. Definitely not a romantic or interesting experience.
Unfortunately the address was not the correct one the ticket. The horse and carriage was actually at an intersection of two roads. We followed directions to text the tour operator the did not receive a response. The name of the tour was not the name of the company that provided the tour. It was confusing and per the Viator will not receive a refund. This was not our fault.
The area we toured was beautiful. Unfortunately our guide was oddly unprofessional a few times and our “45” minute tour was only 38 minutes which was a real shame.
We are very glad that you enjoyed your tour and the scenery! Each of our routes are pre-planned to ensure that our guests see the highlights of the area and are provided a fully-guided tour. We also encourage everyone to take a few minutes prior to leaving on their tour to meet their beautiful draft horse and have photos taken. As you meander the route with your horse, it is done at the pace set by the horse, which can sometimes mean a route is completed a couple of minutes shorter or longer than the 'average'. Our guides also watch their timing carefully to ensure guests are provided the experience they paid for. If your tour was short by a couple of minutes it was very unintentional and we apologize.
Carriage service was easy to book and accommodating for a time change. Trip was good paced and tour guide was friendly. Recommend for couples and families to have a great Victoria experience.
The ride was an experience we had been talking about doing for years and was amazing. Hats off to the fox tailed horse for an amazing tour and our very friendly coachman.
Would have liked to learn more about the city. Not what i expected. We walked most of the area that the driver took us to. Just a residential neighborhood
We had such a fun time last night with Kyra. She wasn’t originally suppose to be our driver, but we were early and bonded so much while waiting that she swapped places. She is a joy and very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Victoria. The carriage was super comfortable and Jerry was such a great horse. It is clear he is loved and well taken care of and we loved feeding him candy canes! Was amazing seeing all the Christmas lights by carriage, especially the Legislature Building. We would definitely recommend Tally-Ho and Kyra!
I was visiting a friend in Victoria BC and decided to treat her with a old fashion carriage tour. In was a beautiful fall day on a Friday. Kayla was our guide was full of information about Victoria and had some great stories to tell. We laughed a lot. We felt safe with Jerry the big horse pulling leading us to beautiful views. It is a treat that should seriously be considered when visiting Victoria.
Going around the pretty James Bay neighbourhood at a pace that is very pleasant - and therapeutic in today's world! It was a very fun and sociable experience. Many thanks!
