Description
If you want to immerse yourself in the real cuisine of Lecce and Salento, come to my house where I am waiting to teach you the art of homemade pasta with simple ingredients. together we will cook a Salento menu full of delicious scents. We will make the pasticciotto that is the most famous dessert in Lecce and then we will make the coffee Leccese, the coffee that has bewitched all tourists in the world. I will use only top quality ingredients, always preferring local products and farmers with the use of organic products! Come and cook and eat with me, a menu also suitable for vegetarians. We'll make pasta with our hands and a rolling pin and we'll make orecchiette and macaroni just like my grandmother did.

We spent a beautiful evening with Stefania, learning traditional pasta making along with the wonderful local specialties of caffè in ghiaccio con latte di mandorla and pasticciotto. Wow, it was amazing! Stefania is a kind teacher and gracious hostess, and welcomed us into her home for an evening of amazing foods and wines. Easily the best night of our trip to Lecce, and since she shared the recipes after, we have even made the pasta dinner twice in our own home! Thank you Stefania, for teaching us how to make these wonderful foods.
We had a great time learning how to make pasta and pasticciotti with Stefania. She was a patient teacher and did a great job giving us all the opportunity to participate. She was very warm and welcoming. We told her we were doing a bike tour and the cities we were traveling too and she gave us good advice about things to make sure we saw/did and restaurants. The finished products were also delicious. I was very happy we decided to do this experience!
This was a fabulous evening - Stefania welcomed us into her beautiful home where she instructed us, assisted us and fed us - she has the perfect personality to teach - it was fun, informative and not just about the food, but also local culture. We can't wait to test our new culinary skills once we're home - this was a wonderful way for us to spend our last evening in Lecce and we couldn't stop raving about it the next day.
What an excellent evening we had with Stefania. Stefania was a very good teacher. We had great fun forming Orecchiette with the pasta we had made, the meatballs and sauce. We also made Pasticciotto Leccese, a delicious Lecce speciality. We then enjoyed eating our efforts, accompanied by a very nice red wine!

A wonderful evening in Stefania’s home. Highly recommended early in your trip to Lecce. The cooking class was informal and supportive and we enjoyed a delicious dinner of all we had prepared and cooked. Stefania was full of tips and recommendations of places to visit and eat in the local area.
What a lovely, memorable evening! So enjoyable and Stefania is a great teacher and wonderful host. None of the dishes are hard to make. We made all traditional Lecce food - 2 types of pasta, beef meatballs with pecorino and a tomato-based sauce and a shortcrust pie with a creamy lemon custard filling for pudding. It was all quite delicious, accompanied by a local rose wine. Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys cooking and good food!
Stefania is a charming and welcoming hostess who passed on a lot of information about the Salento culture, besides the secret of homemade pasta and pasticciotto. We were able to taste the famous Lecce coffee with bitter almond syrup and sweet specialties prepared by Stefania. We felt right at home. The course is perfect for cooking and tasting. It was a plus to be able to exchange in Italian. All we have to do is remake the recipes at our place! Thank you for this great experience.
I was lucky enough to share this experience with my dad who is not a cook. Boy did we laugh. Stephania was so welcoming. It was such a pleasure to be in her home. Gave us a true feelings of Italian living. Highly recommend! Was a highlight of my trip.
Stefania was the most wonderful host in her home. In a short time we all felt like family cooking in her home. The food we made was so delicious . We spent all night laughing and having fun. After cooking , drinking wine by candle light was an added plus. The highlight of our trip to Italy!!
