The Sagrada Família is a church like no other. Outside, your guide will show you the ornate sculptures carved into the basilica's four façades and explain their meaning. Step inside, and you're transported into a stone forest with towering columns as trees, a vaulted ceiling as the sky, and different shades of light filtering through the stained glass windows. Your guide will share the innovative techniques Gaudí used to bring his vision to life and why they were so revolutionary over 100 years ago — and still remain so unusual today. Throughout your tour, your guide will share stories and the details not to miss. Afterward, we recommend a visit to the museum below the basilica to see the original scale models and sketches of the basilica. Your guide will tell you what to look for.

The Nativity Façade The place where the origins of both the basilica and the Holy Family are found. Here, you’ll explore the beginnings of this monumental project. Stained Glass Features Inside the central body of the basilica the stained glass windows flood the building in a rainbow of light. The Central Aisle Gaudí’s legendary “forest of stone” carries the dome above in the world’s largest inner church structure. The Passion Façade Laced in symbolism and codes to unravel, this is the West-facing side of the church where the story of the death of Christ is explored. The School This old schoolhouse was attended by generations of workers who have dedicated their lives to this architectural treasure. The Museum An underground path leads to the museum where you will get a glimpse into Gaudí’s office and gain insight into how he was inspired to design the Sagrada Família.

The tour was fantastic! The meet up location was super easy to find, skipping the line was worth the price and Maria was top notch! The amount of time for the tour was perfect - not too long and not too short. Maria was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind.

The Sagrada Familia was amazing. Very busy. Our guide was very hard to understand, talked to fast and the headsets didn't help. Skipping the line was the best part of what we paid for. Wish we could have heard and understood better.

This tour was disappointing. We had been to Sagrada Família in 2007. Upon returning with our family, the tour was simple. We were dismissed by our tour guide at the exit gate. Half the family had walked through the exit, but I asked for the bathroom. Was directed down a small hall and re-discovered the restrooms, gift shop and the whole museum! Half our family had already exited and couldn’t return! We SHOULD have been directed TO the bathrooms, informed of the museum and cooling spaces plus the gift shop by our guide! She should have said- it has been a wonderful experience showing you the upper spaces of the cathedral. If you follow this path to your left, you will find restroom and a wonderful museum space where you can read and learn even more about the history of Sagrada Família and its architects. Beyond that, you will find the gift shop and items for purchase. Instead, half of us felt rushed to use the restrooms, rush to the gift shop, grab a few items and get out fast to meet up with our family cooking in the sun. This was meant to be a grand moment to revisit a trip we had as college students. It was anticlimactic.

José was a wonderful tour guide. His knowledge and relaxed nature made the tour were a great balance. He knew when to provide insight and when to let the group take in the beauty. I would recommend booking a time slot near the middle of the day (1:30pm) in oder to see the sunlight travel through the stain glass windows on either side of the Basilica.
