We arrived at the Temple early on Sunday morning, we were excited to experience the rituals and observe. We even did our research and checked that as Muslims we can get in no problem provided that we cover our body. However, we were greeted by the security who was rude and asked me to either take off my hijab or leave saying that this is a temple. I guess it’s mandatory to cover your body but not allowed to cover your hair. Anyways, we walked around the temple, by the Lake and enjoyed the views which made things less unfortunate. I will definitely not be visiting any temple in Sri Lanka and will not recommend the place.
