You will have the opportunity to live a 4-in-1 experience, where you will be able to learn about each of the processes about coffee from people who are passionate about this fruit, in addition to delicious tastings of sugar cane and chocolate, you will return home with some magnificent recipes to prepare these products at home. Finishing with the tastings we will enter the forest, in small groups, in order to avoid disturbing as little as possible and achieve a better experience, always accompanied by a local guide who knows every corner of the forest who will show each of the more wonders present in Monteveverde when the night comes

Live the authentic experience of the processes of coffee, sugar cane, interpretation of the primary forest and how this has remained in our family for more than 250 years. We will start with a cup of coffee a, where we will make an introduction to the coffee drink, the plant, its history and each process from the seed to the cup. We will continue the experience of the coffee plantations that are located inside the forest, observing the coexistence between the economic activity of coffee and the conservation of the ecosystem. During the experience we will walk through the forest, interpreting the different ecosystems, in search of mammals, amphibians, reptiles, insects and birds. We will share the knowledge, the connection and the accumulated experiences that our ancestors have passed down to us throughout the years until today, 7 generations later. We will finish by returning to the reception to talk, clarify doubts, exchange feedback and purchase products or souvenirs.

Fully recommended experience! Jairo was an excellent guide, explaining everything to us with great attention and detail, answering all our questions. Moreover, the tour is super personalized, without that fully touristy logic. If you want something more personal, this tour is ideal!
If you’re looking for that "secret spot" that feels 100% authentic and 0% tourist trap, this is it! We absolutely loved this experience. Getting to see the coffee process tucked right inside the forest was such a cool, small-scale way to see how the magic actually happens. Family owned just made it feel like you could be yourself and have fun! The night tour was a blast! There is something so fun about trekking through the trees with flashlights and seeing all the night wild life. We loved every minute of it, and would recommend it to any who seek an amazing side of the cloud forest Monteverde.
Junior was a great entertainer. He explained a lot of interesting things about making coffee. We were able to taste two different coffee roasts and try fruits with fresh chocolate. We were lucky and could see many animals: a sloth, a snake, a tarantula, a honey bear, hummingbirds, a toucan, scorpions and frogs. Thanks for the unforgettable evening!
We really enjoyed this tour! With the small group size we were able to ask a variety of questions and really learn about the coffee making process. We tried different roast types and coffee that was roasted that day! Junior was a great guide and then led us through the forest in search of night time creatures.
Junior picked us up at our accommodation and drove us to the farm. He and his colleague were really friendly and we began with a delicious coffee tasting. The coffee tour was so interesting, and Junior is a lovely person, great sense of humour and extremely knowledgeable. We also tasted sugarcane and cacao. The night walk afterwards was excellent. He took so much time a d effort to ensure we saw so much wildlife including an armadillo and sloths. We were super impressed and he exceeded all our expectations. On the journey home we talked about his life in Monteverde and his family which we really enjoyed. I would highly recommend this tour.
This is a FANTASTIC tour. We learned so much about the coffee process, history and science. We have a new found appreciation of choosing and drinking coffee. Afterwards, Junior took us on a night walking tour that was fantastic. He not only pointed out all kinds of animals and insects, but he taught us about astronomy and star gazed with us. One of the best and most memorable tours we have ever been on!!!!!
What a great tour! We did the combination of coffee tour and nightwalk - and it was just wonderful! First we visited the plantation with Grey for 2 hours, brewed coffee ourselves, pressed and tasted sugarcane juice, learned everything we needed to know about the different ways of making and preparing it, tasted different varieties and finally ate a great dessert made from fresh fruits & chocolate. By the way, there is no attempt to sell anything here at any point (we actively asked for it at the end of the evening), we felt like friends. Afterwards we started with Junior on the Nightwalk - equipped with flashlights Junior led us 2.5h through the forest near the plantation, showed us various nocturnal animals we would never have seen ourselves - incl. armadillo, various frogs, snakes and beautiful birds. Overall almost 5h in which we saw and learned so much - an absolute highlight in Monteverde!
Junior was an amazing guide!! He showed me all around the coffee farm from the plants to the processes stations, to the cafe itself for a lesson on the chemistry of coffee. I got to try some different roasts in addition to some amazing chocolate made from cocoa beans they also grow. The night hike was also amazing, I ended up seeing more wildlife there than in the cloud forest reserve the next day! Highly recommend if you’re in the Monteverde area.
