Itinerary
The seat of the Dukes of Savoy and later of the Kings of Sardinia and then of Italy, from which the Albertine Statute was promulgated, which houses the Royal Armory and the Chapel of the Holy Shroud.
The Chapel of the Holy Shroud designed by Guarino Guarini and completed in 1683, destroyed by a terrible fire in 1997, is directly connected to the Royal Palace with an access corridor and offers a view of the Cathedral where the Holy Shroud is kept in the dark in a case in a controlled environment and atmosphere. The Shroud is therefore NOT visible, but it is possible, if requested and during the opening hours of the Turin Cathedral, to add a visit to the Cathedral and gather in prayer near the Shroud.
On request it is possible to include in the total duration of the tour a visit to the Cathedral of Turin, with a passage to the Chapel where today the Holy Shroud is housed (kept in a sealed case, in the dark, in a protected environment and resistant to any natural event, it is not visible)

Thank you Sally! Luisa
A great way to learn about the history of the palace from a local guide, Luisa, who shared so much knowledge. We would have not come close to learning any of it on our own. Meetup was easy, directions clear
Thans you Lisa!
Excellent tour and excellent guide!!! Unmissable excursion in Turin. One immerses oneself in Three Centuries of History.
Muchas gracias. Ha sido un placer conocerlos, visitar el Palacio Real y pasear por Turín con ustedes.
Amazing sites to see. Guide was solid. Her English was a bit hard to understand but we got used to it. She was knowledgeable about the subjects she was presenting. I do prefer a bit more storytelling but that’s just my preference. Good experience overall and I’m glad we did it.
Luisa, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant! We went on a Sunday when the church where the shroud is housed has Mass. She was mindful of this and ensured that we got to the area between masses. She accommodated our tour of the Palace. We really appreciated her thoughtfulness.
Caroline, how kind of you! It was a pleasure! Thanks, Luisa
We had a wonderful experience with Luisa, our tour guide in Torino. She guided us through the Royal Palace and the Duomo with the Holy Shroud, sharing her deep knowledge in a way that was engaging and easy to follow. Luisa was attentive, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the history come alive without ever feeling overwhelming. The tour lasted about two hours, which was the perfect amount of time to explore and learn at a comfortable pace. Overall, it was a fantastic and memorable tour, thanks to Luisa’s insight and welcoming personality. Highly recommended!
