Lovely day trip. Our guide Melana was attentive & very informative throughout the trip telling us the history & facts about our destinations along the journey. Our coach driver was very safe & professional driver & friendly. Would have liked more free time in the first destination but made the most of it. Rhonda was well worth a visit. Really enjoyed the day. Thank you ☺️
Thank you so much! We are thrilled to hear you had a lovely day trip. We will pass on your compliments to Melana and our driver for their excellent work. Hope to see you again soon!
We had two exceptional guides. We liked less the milk run to pick up several travelers along the way. The visit to Setenil is short. Quite enough if one only does the small tour proposed by the guide, but insufficient for a broader visit. Ronda is magnificent. Again, it is a visit at breakneck speed. We would have liked more time to see the old bridge. The return scheduled for 3 PM seems too early to me.
Merci pour vos précieux commentaires. Ravis que vous ayez apprécié les guides, et nous prenons note des horaires pour continuer à améliorer nos itinéraires
Google Maps may lead you to a business among buildings close to a major BLVD for the meeting place. The meeting place will be on the BLVD- you will see other groups gathering there. There are square concrete structures that you can sit on. There will be a gaggle of buses that show up and you will just have to check with each bus to find yours. Yeah, it's annoying. However our bus was very nice as was the tour leader who will check you in. You'll get about a 1 hour taste of the town Sentenil de las Bodegas which has a Moorish history and is visually interesting due to it being built into the rocks. Then it was off to Ronda another town that has a Roman and Moorish history. Our guided tour was in Spanish and English and gave us good views of town as well as an unexpected but very good history of bull fighting in Spain and Ronda in particular. Ronda, visually, doesn't disappoint. We are thinking about returning and spending a couple days. Overall the tour was very good.
Thank you so much for your review and tips about the meeting point! We are glad you enjoyed Setenil, Ronda, and our team
We booked for four people. We were sent an email previous to the day of departure saying the trip was delayed by one hour and that our pickup time was changed. On the day of departure we missed the bus because of the email and the company said that they couldn’t understand why TripAdvisor had sent me that email because trip was never changed
We deeply apologize for the confusion regarding the schedules and for you missing the transport. We are reviewing what happened with the booking platform to prevent this from happening again. Please accept our most sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.
We were the only couple that boarded in Torremolinos Centre as everyone else got on in Malaga itself. When we got to Malaga our guide Pepe informed us that as the only English speaking couple on his bus it would be best if we swapped coaches and joint his colleague Melina on her bus, which was perfect as it meant better service all round. Our new guide Melina was fantastic, very friendly and informative and happy to answer the many questions she got asked. Our first stop was the cave village of Sentenil, which was absolutely gorgeous with its whitewashed buildings built into the cliffs and pretty vines, Jacaranda trees and flowers everywhere. Next was the main event, Ronda itself. Melina gave a wonderful leisurely walk from the bus station through a beautiful park before we got to the famous bridge, bull ring and the stunning city itself. Melina pointed out things that would normally have been ‘walked past’. The walking tour continued into the Oldest part of the city across the gorge and the bridge. Melina’s knowledge still kept coming and we felt history really being brought to life. The tour was a perfect combination of walking guided tour and free time. We would certainly use the company again when we come back in August/September, this time maybe Cordoba - hopefully Melina will be our guide for this one too!
Thank you very much for your review! We are absolutely delighted to hear that you had such a fantastic experience with us. It will be a true pleasure to welcome you back on your next trip. Until next time!
This is a great tour and we'll organised. Janet was a super guide and really looked after us all day.
Thank you so much for your review! We are glad to hear that the tour met your expectations and that Janet's great care made your day so special. We will surely pass on your kind words to her!
Alejandro was a great guide. Setenil de las Bodegas is small and I expected more areas with caves formations. Ronda is spectacular.
Hi! Thank you for your review. We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed Ronda and Alejandro's guiding. We appreciate your feedback about Setenil and hope to welcome you back soon!
The tour guide on the bus did an amazing job translating between English, Castilian, and French, giving the same information in each language. Our group was very full, over 40 people, so we were split off into a second group with a separate tour guide in English for the Ronda portion. It was helpful to be in a smaller group to be able to hear more and ask more questions. I wish over all that there was more time in Ronda, and more historical and contextual information given. We spent what seemed the most guided time in the bullfighting arena, which was the most informative portion (I hadn't expected a tour of that and was uninterested in bullfighting, but the guide was very good and kept my interest in that entire part of the tour). I was glad to learn more, but wish there had also been more information about other parts of Ronda, the bridges, etc. The Setenil de las Bodegas portion was very brief, just time to walk around, get some pictures, and hard to find a quick snack to-go. The town is full of restaurants and tourist shops, and we had a hard time finding a bite to eat with the short time there.
Hi! Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. We are glad to hear that the group management and our guides' work were to your liking, especially at the bullring. We have taken note of your suggestions regarding the time in Setenil and the historical information about Ronda to keep improving our itineraries. We hope to see you again!
Setenil de Las Bodegas, I went on the holiday of the 1st of May and unfortunately for being a holiday the place was too full of people passing disorganized, no parking and as always the service to the public bad with "0" empathy... Nothing special besides the shops and some residences under the rocks. You won’t miss it!!!
Just the right amount of time in Sentenil de las Bodegas. We liked the guide telling us information about the area on the bus ride there.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the time spent in Setenil de las Bodegas and that it felt just right. It’s also great to know that the information shared by the guide during the bus journey added to your experience. We hope to see you again very soon!
