Fantastic tour with Joe - very witty and knowledgeable. A must for all pozt-punk music fans! Ian & Jilly, Colchester.
Great walking tour around Manchester. Joe was very knowledgable and entertaining, not just about music but history of the area too. Easy meeting point, tour lasted around 2 1/2 hours. A must for fans of the Manchester music scene.
Suitable also for international guestst. Guide is brilliant. Perfect for a first music orientation in town.
Had a great tour with Joe. He asked for people’s interests at the start of the tour and the group of 6 of us said music and sport and it was a great choice as Joe was very knowledgeable. He took us to many sites where now famous people played etc when they were up and coming. The use of music tracks was an entertaining addition to the tour. We also learned about the use of Manchester as a location standing in for New York in many films and TV series. All in all a very interesting and fun tour.
Jo was a brilliant guide who had so many stories about the Manchester music scene. Tour was just over 2 hours and packed a lot in. Our small group was a mixture of locals and European visitors and I would highly recommended.
What a wonderful morning with our tour guide, Joe! Even though I’ve lived here for many years, it was a treat to walk around without an agenda and get to drink in the beautiful architecture and learn so much I didn’t know about this wonderful city. Since ours was a tiny group, Joe was happy to tailor the experience based on our interests, which was great! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting or from the city and would book on again whenever we next have friends visiting.
Great tour. Joe was so knowledgeable. I learnt so much about Manchester in just two hours! Was great to get the lowdown on the 80s and 90s bands, especially where they started out.
Forget the rest and go with the best. Joe was our tour guide for a great two hrs tour of Manchester taking in music/ football and the history of Manchester. All served with music from his mobile speaker and a side portion of humour. No questions were unanswered as we left the tour so much the wiser about the city and especially the music scene. Shared a pint and chat after the tour ended with Joe. Enough said.
Absolutely fantastic! Joe was very interesting and you can hear the passion and knowledge when he speaks. It was my second tour with him, and I would definitely do it again. Highly recommend!
It's a little nerdy around the group Oasis. Nice guide who was in no hurry. I think we were out almost three hours.
