Meeting Point – Port of Roatan (Coxen Hole): Disembark, walk through the terminal (past various retail shops and vendor kiosks), and follow signs to “Downtown Exit” or “Gate #1.” Exit through Security Gate #1, where our Roatan Family Tours representative will greet you with a sign. Meeting Point (Mahogany Bay - Carnival Cruise Port or Isla Tropicale) After disembarking, walk through the shopping center and exit the covered gangway where you'll find the Carnival taxis and buses. Turn left onto the road and walk uphill to the security gate. We will meet you just beyond the gate, at the bottom of the small hill, holding a “Roatan Family Tours sign."

Just returned from family cruise and the BEST excursion in Roatan. Yohan has to be the most knowledgeable and well known tour guide on the island. We were a family of nine (ages 10-75), we started with Zipline thru the tropical forests, then a visit to Sloth and bird Sanctuary. Traveled the island to the second best reef in the world for snorkeling. The family loved every minute of our day. Yohan handled all our requests with kindness and made sure we were all happy. We ended with lunch at a local spot and back to ship in plenty of time. Don’t hesitate to book with Roatán Family Tours. You won’t be disappointed!
Excellent service and very details on the history of the islands. We enjoyed the zip lines and the zoo visit. Beach resort was also awesome. I recommend them for futures excursions.
Don’t stress, Johan and Jamir have everything covered. It was an amazing time and once again stress free. Jamir gave us amazing facts about the island and was there for anything we needed. After the beach he showed us a local restaurant where the food was amazing. When the rest of my family comes I will recommend Roatan Family Tours to them. We got the Sanctuary, Snorkel, and Beach package and it was incredible. A day well spent. Thank you to Jamir for being a great tour guide.
This experience felt like VIP treatment. Our guide Jimar with Roatan Family Tours was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcomed. He gave us narration about sights and the history of Roatan along the way to our destinations. He made sure we were back in plenty of time for our departure on the ship and even provided us with a recommendation for local food, that was delicious. We all enjoyed the interactions with the animals at the sanctuary, and be warned the monkeys like to swipe personal items like sunglasses. They will given them back eventually though. Jimar made sure we got checked in to the beach club for our West Bay portion and made sure we had beach chairs. We wanted to snorkel so he arranged for us to have a boat ride out to the reef. Note: your can technically snorkel from the shore at West Bay, but the reef is very shallow and you'll see a lot more if you go out to the deeper section. Overall we had a great time and highly recommend this tour, Jimar and Roatan Family Tours.
Incredible experience with Yohan. He was very easy to communicate with and everything went smoothly. He’s like a celebrity! Everyone knows him on the island. He allowed us to customize our day for our family and five kids and took us all around the island. We did two beach stops, saw the animals, and even got his local recommendation for a chocolate and cinnamon roll shop. Saw plenty of fish right off the beach!! Wow! We felt confident with his driving and loved the views. He took us all over and had a great laid back vibe. Great van, clean and nice. Made it back in plenty of time for the cruise ship. We wanted to explore the island with a local vibe and this was it! Perfect for our family!! Worth every penny.
We booked with Roatan family tours online after contacting them with the things we wanted to do while we were there. Booking was easy, they take a small deposit and you pay the rest on the day and they guarantee to get you back to the port in time. We did The sloth and monkey sanctuary, zip lining and snorkelling. We had a great day with Ozsie as our guide. He was waiting for us at the port as soon as we arrived. He gave us a lot of information about the island as we were driving around, which is stunning. Highly recommend doing all 3, the reef on the island is the best I have ever seen, just amazing and the zip lining was great fun. Thanks Ozsie for making the time we spent in Roatan so much fun. It was the perfect day trip! This tour made Honduras my favorite excursion from the cruise ship. The visit to the sanctuary was the perfect amount of time to spend, our tour guide Tristan was informative and friendly. The beach stop was awesome too! Highly recommend this company and tour.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Tevin was our tour guide for the day and he made our Spring Break Senior Trip so special. We felt like VIP’s the entire day!! Our day consisted of the Sloth & Monkey Sanctuary, Snorkeling, and some Beach time. I have never done an excursion that wasn’t through the Cruise Ship, but a friend recommended them. They were cheaper than the Cruise Line, so I booked it. I will book with them EVERY time I go to Roatan now! It was that amazing!! Tevin honestly felt like family from the very beginning! My mother who has a difficult time walking long distances went with us. We took her wheelchair so that she wouldn’t get so tired and Tevin pushed her around and made sure that she got the full experience of everything too. Thank you to Johan and Tevin for making an unforgettable experience for us!
