Itinerary
A mix of urban and suburban development. The city itself has a population of around 25,000 people, and it is the main commercial and transportation hub of the island. The city center has several shops and markets, as well as government buildings and banks. There are also residential neighborhoods with a mix of older, smaller homes and newer, larger houses.
A mix of beach resorts, vacation homes, and local businesses. West Bay is a popular tourist destination known for its white sand beaches, crystal-clear water, and snorkeling and diving spots. The area is dotted with resorts and hotels, many of which have private beaches and a variety of amenities. There are also several restaurants, bars, and shops catering to tourists, as well as local businesses such as small grocery stores and souvenir shops. The road that runs along the beach is lined with palm trees and tropical vegetation, and there's a good chance of seeing the Caribbean sea with all its beauty.
An eco-park where you can discover monkeys, sloths, macaws, deer, and more in their natural habitats. Complete with knowledgeable guides on a tour to learn about their behavior, ecology and conservation efforts to protect them. Explore hiking trails and bird watching.

We had an amazing day with Sunfriends Roatan! From the moment they picked us up, everyone made us feel welcome and taken care of. The whole team was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do. The ATV tour was definitely the highlight of our trip. The trails were a lot of fun, and the views around the island were absolutely incredible. We stopped several times to take photos, and every spot seemed more beautiful than the last, with lush green hills and stunning views of the ocean. One thing we really enjoyed was that it wasn’t just an ATV ride. Along the way, we learned a bit about the island, its culture, and local life, which made the experiance even more special. Ending the tour at the beach was the perfect touch. Relaxing in the clear turquoise water after the adventure was unforgettable. A special thanks to our guide, Omar. He was fantastic—friendly, knowledgable, and always making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. He kept the group engaged, shared interesting facts about Roatan, and made the whole experience fun from start to finish. What stood out most was the personal attention from the Sunfriends team. You can tell they really care about their guests and want everyone to have a great experiance. If you’re visiting Roatan, I highly reccomend booking with Sunfriends. One of the best family experiences we’ve had. The Sunfriends team was extremely friendly and professional from the very beginning. We felt safe the entire time during the ATV tour, and they were always attentive to every detail and to the group. The route offers amazing views and beautiful spots for photos. Everything was very well organized, easy to book, and communication was smooth before and during the activity. It’s perfect for families, even with kids, because they make you feel comfortable and supported at all times. We definitely recommend them 100% and would do it again with Sunfriends.

We had a great day in Roatan thanks to Marlon and his plans. Spent a couple hours on the four wheelers driving around the island, then went to the animal sanctuary. Afterwards he took us to one of his favorite lunch places and then we went to the chocolate Factory and rum cake factory. Great experience, especially because it was a private tour. Definitely would recommend.

We had a great day exploring Roatan on this private tour. Stopped at the rum factory, chocolate factory, Roatan sign, Maya Eden animal sanctuary and ended with a nearly 2 hour ATV ride. We were pleasantly surprised when the ride took us beach side! The guides were friendly and helpful! Sunfriends was great to work with and quick to respond to my questions. Highly recommend!

All around a great experience. Our driver Cindy was great and took us anywhere we wanted to go and let us skip some things we had already done before. Our atv ride with Marlon was great. We saw a lot of beautiful places and rode all over the island on atvs

This trip with Marlon was the best trip we had on our Cruise ship tour in middle america. We had so much fun and Marlon did his Best to fullfill our wishes. Everything was perfect with this trip. We did this trip in a small group and Marlon told us a lot about Roatan. He also took care of our personal wishes. 1000% recommendation. Will come again to Marlon if we visit Roatan again. Besides the amazing Trip with the ATVs , Marlon was one of - if not the best guide we ever had.

We’ve taken a number of such tours. And I look for three things; on time, duration, and genuine attentiveness. Omar was our guide. He was on time, and met us at the appointed place. He did not require us to wait for others. When we arrived, he was ready to go. We did all that was promised, and did so unhurried. We spent a good amount of time with animals; ie monkeys, sloth, birds, butterflies… we saw it all. The ATV tour was a blast. We went through hilly areas, small towns, high vistas, and the beach. Never rushed. We went to the chocolate shop. Learned a few things, bought some chocolate. Short stop, but worth the time. Omar then offered to take us to several places for photo opportunities. We passed, as lunch was calling us back to the ship. Most importantly, Omar was engaged with us throughout the day. He was friendly, funny, and actively involved. In fact, he joined the ATV tour guides and rode an ATV with us. Bottom line… everything the company promised, they delivered. And Omar made the day a perfect one.

We had a great time. Daniel was very accommodating. He filled in as our guide on the four wheelers so that we could not go with the group. The monkeys 🐒 are great but a bit mischievous. Overall one of the best excursions we have been on.
