I was looking forward to this experience, but was disappointed. It was misty in the morning the day of the tour. We were picked up at the hotel by Jane, our tour guide, who was great and tried her best, but the tour was horrible. We saw a waterfall and a tree. We were then told we have to leave because the park closed at 5. We should have been given the chance to reschedule our tour or given our money back. I guess with this company it's about the money and not the experience.
An interesting trip in Tijuca Park aboard an open military jeep with 8 seats. Pickup at the hotel was punctual, except that we had to wait unnecessarily for two people at one of the scheduled hotels. The guide, Victoria, was very skilled with fluent and clear English, providing us with many interesting insights, and the driver was very professional. Unfortunately, the Vista Chinesa is not accessible on weekends, and I believe this should have been clearly stated. We did not see any animals (not a single one). The trip was still enjoyable and ended at the beach of Sao Conrao, where I would have liked to stay a few more minutes. Bring a heavy jacket because it is very cool on the jeep, and depending on the season and weather, it can be cold (the same goes for the forest). I personally recommend it, but with the considerations mentioned above.
If you love nature… then this is the trip for you!! Our morning started with our friendly guide picking us up in an open Jeep so you can really enjoy all of RIO driving to the Amazone rainforest. The story of the Tijuca forest is really amazing and walking right through it is breath taking😍🌳. Beautiful waterfalls with crystal clear waters, you just have to take a dive! My lungs tanked me for the clear air and amazing hike. 10 out of 10!!🙌🏼
This was honestly an amazing tour, exploring the natural spaces of Rio! However I must mention that nothing would be as great if it wasn’t for Mario (Gabriel Ladeira) who is easily the best guide I’ve ever had. He kept talking to us and informing us on all things about the city and Brazil, we shared lots of laughter and he’s been the best help and the greatest company. We even met with him the da after the tour to spend some more time together, already a true friend of ours! Thanks for everything you done for us ❤️
Tijuca National Forest scenery was beautiful! The waterfalls, nature, and wildlife was amazing! Definitely worth the amount of $ we paid!
Nice way to visit natural places in Rio de Janeiro with nicely guided.
It was a nice experience, mainly the waterfalls. I did not expect to go on hiking trails as I was not prepared for that. So be sure to wear some old sneakers, pack a small rain jacket and some snacks plus water. And eat before you start the excursion also!
Unfortunately, I was unable to start the Jeep Tour due to a right knee injury and therefore unfortunately had to cancel it for me and my wife
We had such a fun time and our tour guide, Gabriel Ladeira, made our trip especially wonderful. Gabriel was incredibly knowledgeable and very passionate about sharing information. We learned so much from him! The jeep was super cool too. Lots of fun, not too much air but enough to make you feel like it was indeed a Jeep ride... which is what we wanted. Fortunately, I knew to bring a hat, hair tie, and sunscreen. The tour company was extremely communicative as I'd only purchased the trip the day before. They promptly communicated by Whats App and kept me informed. They were incredibly generous to make an accommodation for our pick up. Since we are in Rio visiting family, we were not near the typical hotels. The Jeep arrived early and fortunately, so did we so we were promptly off!! It was awesome and we made friends with the other tourists as well. We were picked up around 8:40 and from beginning to end was at least 4 hours. Unfortunately, we did not see any animals other than butterflies, but that is not the fault of the Tour. Still, the easy hike through the jungle was fun and it was nevertheless stunning and beautiful. Crowds were minimal and the cost was great too, especially as I had a TripAdvisor coupon. The views were amazing and I was really happy to see things that I would otherwise not have seen or learned about.
Fantastic Jane the groups guide showed us around the national park point loads of the fauna and explained the history of the park in great detail and enthusiasm which rubbed off on all of us. Also while travelling around picking others up from there hotels Jane told us about other places on route. Our drive was very good and drove at a very safe speed where you felt safe with him behind the wheel.
