One of the most popular horseback riding tours in the Coconut Valley as it has a wide range of ecosystems watching, being and knowing the viewpoints that let you see the top of the wax palms “national tree of Colombia” and its landscapes combined with the principle of fog forest or wet forest until crossing the river in the form of a small waterfall.

Great experience. The wonderful guide walks the trail and has good control over the horses. We passed by many dozens of horses that day and all of them were quite calm and behaved. The horses have to deal with traffic, bikes, dogs, people, cars. I liked how Cocora tours stable was closest to the park entrance so you don't have to navigate the busy street on the horse. Great for kids. The River crossing is just performative and crosses a river on horse but doesn't take you anywhere. I'd skip it and just do viewpoint 1 & 2. Highly recommned and a highlight of the trip!
amazing tour… just perfection!!!!! would do it again in a second. thank you for such a beautiful day
If you can't hike, it's a good option to explore parts of the valley on horseback. I recommend going early before the crowds arrive. I started at 8.30am and was the only one on the trail. The horses seemed healthy. It's much cheaper if you book locally. If you book on their website it's more expensive. There always seem to be horses available so I would just go and try your luck. It's a bit strange that the guides walk with you instead of riding. My tour ended 30 minutes early.
The route was spectacular, both for the guide, the landscape and also for the horses, which were very gentle and knew the route perfectly. The route is full of surprises, it is exciting and surprising when you reach the top. I would repeat it for the beauty of the landscape
This was an excellent tour. Julio and Alfredo made sure we were safe, as we had a 5 and 7 year old, and a mother-in-law nervous to ride horses. They were super knowledgeable about The Valley and worked hard to guide the horses. The trip was about 2 hours. We started around 4pm, which was great to see everything with great light but lesser crowds. The views are spectacular, and Julio made sure we had awesome pics and video of us surrounded by huge palm trees or crossing a River on horseback. Some tips: (1) Drive past all the parking and restaurants you see on the way there. The parking is up the road near the horse stable. (2) Take vertical panoramic pics to capture the huge palm trees. (3) Tip your guides! They’re worth it. (4) It costs 1k pesos to use their bathroom.
