Local Green Atlanta was designed centering the need to expand access to fresh food and improve health outcomes in Atlanta's underserved neighborhoods. They envision redefining the meaning of "eating well" with great tasting, affordable, nutrient-rich foods paired with a cultural experience that binds us together around a meal.
Home of the lemon pepper pizza! Phew's Pies, one of Atlanta's hottest pizza concepts. Specializing in mobile pizza pop ups, Phew's Pies offers 12 inch "Metropolitan" style pizzas: rooted in Neapolitan tradition, influenced by the flavors and culture of the urban inner city. Phew got his start in pizza during the 2020 pandemic making homemade pizzas out of his West End townhome. After days and months of practice in the kitchen, he invented what is recognized as the most Atlanta pizza ever created - the Lemon Pepper Wet Pizza. This sensation went viral on social media, catapulting Phew's hobby and passion into a full fledged business. Phew transitioned from selling pizzas out of his house to conducting mobile pizza pop ups, partnering with different businesses and organizations to bring pizza to special events and gatherings, and has recently opened his first location in the Atlanta Municipal Market.

Thank you Chit Chat Atlanta Tours. The tour was amazing and so was the food.
So I had a great time meeting new people and sampling food items at new restaurants. All of the restaurants provided great service and delectable samplings. The Real Milk and Honey biscuits were so huge and fluffy. I am definitely going back to Zubi Tacos for the guacamole and vegan tacos. I am going to have to return to the Sandard Kitchen by GH on another day when I have a craving for a Sunday dinner. The Grown and Sexy Tavern had and unbelievable spread for us, ,more than I anticipated. The hidden gem of the evening was Sasha Sweets. If you are looking for a deal , visit Sasha on a Sunday for 1/2 priced cupcakes. Carla was very knowledgeable of the city, its leaders and its history. The tour took several hours to hop to the different restaurants and ended with a surprise stop at the Pop Up Shop
This tour was worth every minute. The tour guide,Carla, was knowledgeable and nice. We enjoyed the tour, the food, and the fun!
As an Atlanta resident, I didn’t expect to be surprised—but the tour with ChitChat Communications was truly refreshing and thoughtfully curated. This experience beautifully blended Atlanta history, culture, and Black-owned culinary gems—many of which I had never visited before. Our first stop was Omni Coffee & Eggs, followed by Local Green Atlanta, then Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks, and we wrapped up at the iconic Paschal’s. Each stop felt intentional and showcased the diversity and richness of Black-owned businesses in the city. Beyond the food, the tour offered a meaningful journey through Atlanta’s history. As we traveled through downtown, we passed significant landmarks including Auburn Avenue, the Big Bethel AME Church, the Georgia State Capitol, the original home of the King family, Morris Brown College, and the Clark Atlanta University. The storytelling and historical context made the city feel alive in a new way, even for someone who’s lived here. What truly stood out was the heart behind the experience. ChitChat Communications is owned by the vibrant and warm, Carla Morrison, an African-American woman whose passion for Atlanta, community, and culture is evident in every detail. This wasn’t just a tour, it was an experience rooted in pride, connection, and purpose. Whether you’re new to Atlanta or a long-time resident looking to rediscover the city through a different lens, I highly recommend this tour. It’s educational, delicious, and deeply affirming. I walked away full, both literally and culturally.
